Hi everyone,

I'm excited and nervous to be joining this board. I have been going back and forth about ttc but the fact is I really want another child.

I don't know anything about Mirena, sorry!! But wish you all the best ttc. I'm 41 too and hoping for another bundle of joy. I'll be thinking about you and sending positive vibes!

Wishing both you and your DH a lot of patience as you take on this TTC journey 8)
Not familiar with Mirena but I agree that it might take a while for your cycles to get back to normal- trust me it took me at least a year and a half / we were able to conceive earlier this year without IVF but it ended in a miscarriage too early on. But I'm not discouraged on TTC again, just start by getting healthy and follow up with hour RE. I'm 41 and DD is 20 and DS is 15!! Then I start thinking- look at Kelly Preston she had her baby at 48!!!
Hoping you get a BFP sooner than you expect!

Hello Val and welcome! Good luck on your TTC venture, sounds like you are able to conceive pretty easily which is a blessing, some of us have been at it for years. I wish you luck and look forward to getting to know you!

P.S. 41 is NOT old, I will be 44 this month and still think I am young enough to do this again! ;) I have 2 daughters, ages 14 and 11, my new husband has no children and we had a m/c last year, I am hoping to do this for him.

Hi Val, welcome to the board! You'll find lots of support here, feel free to jump right in. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

It might take a few cycles for your body to get back into the swing of things after getting the Mirena out.

Hi Val and welcome to the board. I think you will find a wealth of knowledge and some great friendships here. I am not familiar with the use of Mirena but I'm sure it will take a couple months for your cycles to get back to normal. Are you going to chart temps and use OPK's? We look forward to you joining us on the sometimes crazy journey.
