Just wanted some advice on TTC at almost 41. My DH has no children and while we have doublts I really feel that I want a child with him but I am afraid of being too old to handle it all. I mean that will take up a huge portion of our life to raise another child at this age. Just wanting to get some thoughts on the issue and advice.
I have financial concerns like the huge expense of daycare. Does anyone else worry about those things. I also have a cyst on my ovary and the DR said it could be painful to be pregnant anyone else going thru health issues?

Just curious and wanted some feedback.

Hi there:

Well, I certainly understand your concerns. I am 40, DH is 38, we've been married for 10 years and no children. We recently decided to give it a go. We are also concerned about chasing around a baby at our age and the fact that raising a child will take a big chunk of our later years. One of the positives for us is that I no longer need to work full time as I did when we first got together 13 years ago.

Many people in their 50's have that dreaded empty nest syndrome and all the parents I know just want their kids to come home!! We figure having a child now will keep us young, active, and mentally challenged as well. The last BIG adventure and someone to share all the joys of life with:>0

I had a cyst once and it resolved itself in a couple months. How long have you had it?? I don't know if there is anything the doctors can do to make it go away?? At any rate, I thinking that most woment here would gladly go through whatever pain it might cause to get that beautiful little baby.

I know how hard this decision is, we agonized over it for months!! I've done so much reaserch that my CNM even noticed how informed I was.

Best luck to you, Julie
