Now the wait!

Hi all,

I just have to share that I just passed my window for TTC this month. It was interesting this month I had cramps on my left side starting CD11. They continued until CD14 and completely disappeared on CD15. Not knowing exactly what was going on we just BD every other day (like Lois had mentioned) so we hit CD11,12, and CD14. (wish we had hit CD13 too :)Anyway.. So...now I will wait and see. I also have been ttc for 2 years...and sometimes it seems like we have done everything right and still nothing happens. So...I will keep my fingers crossed this month and let you know in a couple of weeks.

I love the comments about coffee...my doc said go ahead and have a cup a day...even a glass of wine would be ok. She said something like Lois did...enjoy yourself and things will proceed. But despite her advice...I still obsess about stopping that one cup. I need to go cold turkey (like jumping into the pool, instead of painfully moving in slowly!) and I think it would help also to find another bev that I can replace it with! We are all so funny! We just want to do everything perfectly and all that we can to make things happen! So...sending baby wishes to everyone!

Sounds like your BD timing was great.

I hope this is your month Leslee. Do you test for ovulation at all?? I'm pretty sure I'm a 14 day girl so not sure if it's worth spending all that money.

I'll be in your shoes in about 4 weeks. AF is due for a visit on the 27th or 28th. I'm thinking bd'ing on day 12, 14, and 16 of July will give us as good a chance as any. I've never wished for AF, but it's the only way to get to ovulation:>)

Will you do the hpt or wait until next month to see if AF shows?? I think I'll wait but that might be easier said than done.

Best Wishes, Julie

Hi Leslie,

I hope it works out for you this month! Granted, I have a horrible record for STAYING pregnant but I've been pregnant 3x in my 40's and I just BD'd every other day fom days 9 - 17 (sometimes not even that many tims)...and those are the times I got pregnant.

I didn't get pregnant when my RE timed my ovulation and insemination or embryo transfer perfectly... I didn't get pregnant when I peed on sticks to see when I was ovulating and then BD'd accordingly...It's almost like my body tenses up then and stresses out...but if I don't really know what's going on, I'm fine! LOL!!!

It sounds like you hit the optimal days. I'll be hoping your the next of our ladies here who sees a faint (or DARK!) pink line!!! :-)

xxoo

Hi

Yeah...I have done basal temping and I used to pee on sticks and hope..and I think it just made me anxious and heart broken when all my focus ended with nothing (2 years of being involved in this process). Now....I just wait it out. My doc thinks I can conceive naturally. Lately I have been trying to put my mind on other things...Life is really so beautiful and if I am surprised by missing AF! even better...if not at least I wasn't hyper focused on it the entire month. After all this time this approach seems to work for me. I know I can do absolutely everything possible and if it is not a good egg that month then let it go and be ready for the next!

However, despite all this patience...I think next month I may try clomid. My doc didn't advise any testing last time I saw her...but did give me a script for clomid. So...I have no idea if my progesterone levels or if any other levels are ok. And I really believe my cycle is quite normal...I usually ov between CD14-16. I also know I have a long lut phase (16 days). But not sure if lining is ok for implantation or if hormones are ok for maintaining it. So...that is it.

If I don't conceive this Summer...I am going back to the Doc's in Sept. and getting tests done.

Hi Leslie,
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
I know about that cup of coffee....its the hardest thing for me:) Everyday I vow I am not going to have a cup, and then end up having one.
Hoping to hear "good news" from you in a couple weeks:)

The docs never put me on clomid for some reason. Let me know how that works out for you in the next couple of months don't work out.

Good luck!
