What is the difference between intrauterine semination and artificial insemination? Also, what costs are involved in these procedures?

Satie, my situation is that I'm 45 and have just gone through a divorce. I have no children which breaks my heart. I was surprised it was that inexpensive for artificial insemination - $350.00? So, I'm in Hamilton and if I went to McMaster to be artificially inseminated by someone's sperm (definitely not what I ever intended to do in life), would that just inseminate me or do they do psychological profiles, etc. I have suffered from both depression and anxiety in my life and I'm afraid I would be turned down for that reason.
