TTC:

I am hoping someone out there had or is having a postive experience in Atlanta.I am looking for Reproductive Specialists in Atlanta. Does anyone have a recommendation for Atlanta. Someone who is positive about TTC over forty.

If no referrals, any experiences with going to RS after forty?

Hi there =)

I don't have a referral for you but I do see a specialist and have since I began this journey. My doc is great and very supportive of our decision to TTC after 40. He never batted an eye about the whole thing and in my case I was expecting some raised eyebrows since I had to have a tubal reversal. In my opinion, even if you have to try several docs, go to one that is on your side, not one that's going to judge you. If you feel even the least bit uncomfortable go to different doc. My doc is straightforward with me and doesn't try to sugarcoat or blow me off. He always has time for my questions and makes sure I understand what he is telling me. I tell ya though, if he had been the least bit judgemental I would have gone to someone else, even though he has an excellent rep as a practioner.

Good luck!

I am 43, and am working with ACRM, Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine and they have been wonderful. I like all of the MD's but especially Dr. Hasty or Toner.

Good luck!

Thank you- for the information. Should I expect that they will want to talk about donor egg programs or testing/pregnacy with own eggs?

I really appreciated the information you provided.

I felt that they explained all of the options and chances of success. They did recommend donor egg, given the success rate etc. But in the end they supported our decision to attempt IUI, IVF and were very aggressive and helpful. In fact we just finished an IUI that was converted from an IVF because I did not produce enough follicles for an IVF. We are currently in the 2 week wait. My husband and I were not opposed to donor egg, but given the cost we agreed that we would rather go the adoption route.

FYI...I have also heard that Reproductive Biology Associates are good and aggressive.\

Good luck!

Dr Hasty is a really funny name for a doc who is trying to help you hurry up and get pg.
