Kristen/Tarheel - I unfortunately do not have any success stories to provide you. What I did want to convey is that no matter what, don't lose hope. I have seen women up to age 47 have successful pregnancies/deliveries of healthy babies. Lots of them done naturally.

Kristen - did they discover the tubes were blocked through an HSG? Sometimes, after having one, the tubes become unblocked. Is surgery a possiblity for you to have the tubes unblocked. That way you can continue to pursue naturally. Maybe IVF is an option? That way you still get to use your own eggs.  I also have a FT issue. Although mines are not blocked, they are convoluted (so I guess they may as well be). Sad I am currently pursuing natural approaches to trying to alleviate the convolution and possible adhesions. Here's a link should you be interested (http://natural-fertility-info.com/natural-fertility-expert). Especially check out the fallopian tube therapy. I don't know if I will meet with success this way or not, but it is not too expensive, something I can control and gives me hope. Neutral

Tarheel - I don't think I had a chance to convey my sorrow for your negative result. Sad. I don't really know what the cyst you mention is but is it something that can be treated/resolved? If so, then there is still hope.

My RE mentioned DE to me also but I told him that is not a route I am interested in at all. Now I know my situation is a little different b/c I have DS but the way I see it, you have so much more time to pursue DE (you can do it at age 50 for example) if that is the choice that you and your DH make. There is a limited time frame to pursue a child with your own eggs so why not pursue that option to the end? Just my view.

I know it gets tough and downright overwhelming at times...but I do believe that God has a plan for each of us. The challenging part is figuring out what that is. My favorite bible saying - For nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37).

I hear you. I know this makes me a terrible person (or at least wife) but I O tomorrow. Last night, despite his pain, I tried everything to entice DH into some BDing (seduction, guilt, anger, even downright bribery). No luck. :-( Might give it another go tonight but I do feel somewhat callous. :-(

Last cycle was a short 20 days. So today I tested on CD 21, figuring my cycle has shortened maybe? I think I am getting a pick out of garbage 1 hour later evap line. Enough to make my heart race again. Not enough to tell anyone but u here on the board. even my husband.
And the waiting begins.

I'm on Lovenox and it's really OK. You get used to the shots, plus great for the baby because it doesn't cross the placenta.

Sorry about your loss.

Hi:

Me: 41

DH: 34

Married 11 years and no children, trying for first.

We've been trying for about a year now and just finished a cycle last month with no baby. The doctor said that I'm fairly healthy, have a low FSH, clear Fallopian tubes and ovulate on my own. So her only diagnosis is that it's age and that my eggs aren't as good as they used to be -- so I basically need a bunch of eggs and then an IUI. She said that because DH has no sperm problems and I have no problems she can see that we're not candidates for IVF.

She said that IVF, like any interference in eggs/embryos isn't ideal. and that it's better if I can do i in my own body. (Does that sound right to you? It's what she told us and we're buying it, so I have no idea.) So basically it's injectibles and IUIs for us.

I am overweight so that's the only mitigating factor (although I'm trying to change that, which isn't easy either!) Last month was negative and thsi month I'm going to my IUI today on CD11. So far the multiple egg thing hasn't happened, but I'm hoping that's because she's been conservative with the injectibles.

I also have chronic A-fib, so I'm on Lovenox twice a day. Not as terrible as it sounds....and it's made the fertility shots a breeze. Compared to shots of Lovenox, the fertility shots are like little kisses.

It's CD 11 for me and I'm going into IUI with a 22 mm follicle. I have no idea what this means, but I'm hoping for a baby girl!

Just taking prenatal vitamins and Vitamin D (that was just found out to help!)

Hi, everyone. I'm Rachelle (39), DH (41), and we're trying for our first.

I can't say exactly how many cycles we've been trying, but it's not all that many. I was using a period tracker app on my phone to try to predict O and the arrival of AF, but have a short cycle now that I'm older, and I don't think it was really predicting O all that well. Tried OPKs twice, but only had timed BD once and got a BFN. I'm taking New Chapter Prenatals and was using Vitex, but fell off with it recently. I've also tried acupuncture a few times and felt like I had really good cycles following treatment. Right now, I'm trying to get my weight down, but that's never easy . I think I'll go back to OPKs when I'm ready to try again in a cycle or two. I've had one loss, five years ago (Blighted Ovum), but I'm hopeful as my mother had my youngest sister when she was almost 44.

Baby dust all around!!

I think I have a chemical. Faint positive but not getting darker. Its only CD 22. I'll check again tomorrow and will be prepared in case AF arrives. Ugh the waiting. This would be my 4th chemical pregnancy. I'm used to this.
Sadly.

Sharon- No, I hope you have darker lines by now, How are you?

Kristen and Tricia- don't lose hope. There are success stories out there. Hoping you hang in there a little longer. (((HUGS)))

AFM- CD 42! No AF, BFN's, nothing- just stuck and waiting. On top of that, my ex-MIL passed away unexpected (although she had lupus and was really sick). Trying to be there for my 3 kids with an ex husband that wishes me dead- not an ideal time for me.  Have been missing from the board but thinking of you all and hoping we see some BFP's soon. Will try to get caught up with all the posts soon. Love to you all.

I'm here! I'm here! Sorry i've been MIA. life has been crazy and will continue to be crazy through the end of the month. Which should help me keep my mind off my 2WW.

Name monica (40), dh (37), furbaby - laila, boxer (5)

CD 10

how many cycles have you been trying? too many to count!

How are you trying? this cycle: clomid (100mg CD 3-7), follistim (cd 8), ovidrel (cd 9), preseed for our TI, iui (cd 11), also taking prenatals, vitamin B complex, fish oils, thyroid meds. (wow that seems like a lot!)

Anything else you would like to share

We've had fibriod issues in the past, and have also tried letrozole, with trigger and iui. this cycle i went in on day 9 for my follicle check and had one at 24mm, and a couple others (can't remember) that might have been close to being mature. so we triggered last night, will do iui on thursday (tomorrow) and had timed intercourse last night -- which is good b/c i think i really ovulated last night. i guess only time will tell.
