Hi, my over 40 girls.....need some advice please?!

A lot of you know my story....started TTC in Oct....got pg. 1st try, & lost baby at 9 weeks (but my body didn't m/c)....I found out from a u/s at 12 weeks that baby died at 9 weeks.

DF & I decided to try one more time.....my OB/GYN asked if we wanted to see a RE, she would refer us?

KiKi, Since I have seen an RE my advice to you is to keep trying for 3-6 months and reavaluate were you are at. Yes the Re can do a bunch of tests, but the bottom line is you know your ovarian reserves are low just do to your age....the actually test numbers do not matter and if they are bad will only make you stressed out. You got pregnant naturally so no blocked tubes and DF must have enough little swimmers to get the job done. You are ovulating regularly so there is no need at this point for clomid, IUI, or IVF. You lost the baby because he/she stopped growing not because your progesterone was low. In my opinion, If it's not broken...don't fix it. Who needs to pay that bill if they don't have to. Good luck with this, Mel

Okay...I've been thinking a lot about it & when DF & I decided to go on this TTC journey, we agreed we were going to try naturally & if it happens, GREAT ....if it doesn't then it wasn't meant to be!

After I saw my 1st GYN, in Sept. and she totally dismissed me having a baby, when I told her we were going to try, because she didn't 'think' it would happen, at all, without some 'help'.....so we started trying ion Oct. & I got pregnant right away!!

yall dont happen to live in or around Dallas/E. tx do ya? Well I am not sure if we would go that far... We just started trying last month and I am honestly floored I didnt get pregnant??? :( I have had 4 babies..course I was in my 20s and 30s and now 40s..sigh... I never thought i would even say that word "trying" but I have definately read a lot and have learned the fertility rate for us after 40 kinda stinks..but not impossible!! I just had AF 3 days ago.. so I want ALL info. I can get my hands on ..for getting pregnant this month!!! I worried about sperm count..telling him..oh no ..every other day, i am not up on the tempiing thing but I need to read on it soon i think.

no, we are in Fort Woth & I go to downtown FW for doctorsappt.....right next to Baylor Hosp.....they have a whole women's speciality doctor practice group.

You've had 4 babies, so you know u can get pg....good news! Yes, it can be moredifficult 2 get pg. in your 40's, BUT hey, I got pg. on our 1st try! So, I am sure the dr.s are scratching their heads about that one....when they told me, it'll take about 6 mos. or over, if it happens at all?! So, I laugh at what the dr.s say, that don't 100% know?!
