Thanks so much Susan. I just felt so bad since I told her only because I thought she would be super supportive since she wanted and achieved her pregnancy. Todays CD12 for me and we're starting tonight at our first attempt.
I wish you success with your attempts and hope you have a BFP real soon!
And my reply to such a comment: "yeah, so?"
Obviously this woman has got a lot to learn about raising children - age is not the only criteria to consider.
As another TTC#1 and well over 40 I'm with ya.

Hi all,
It is so good to here that I am not crazy to TTC first child at 41, husband 50. I told one friend (don't want to tell anyone in case it doesn't happen) who BTW is 23 and pregnant. I thought if anyone could understand wanting to get preggers it was her. I swear she looked at me like I had two heads! Her response is its your body, nice encouragement huh? Today she told that me that my husband would be 70 when our kid was 20... That's it, not telling another soul until BFP and well along at that ;-)

Hi - just keep trying. Your eggs are older, and not every cycle releases a good egg now - so just be patient. I am in the same situation - am 41 and desperatly want another baby....I am a student midwife and believe me, there is some hope.
I think that after 3 months of TTC (at the right time - check this), and if nothing has happened, then contact your doctor - time is of the essence now!
Welcome to the board, Deb and good luck. No, 41 is not too old. No such thing as crazy.
Hope you get a sticky BFP soon.
