Anyone change what you eat when trying to conceive? Last time I conceived (by accident and a blessing) I had just lost about 30 lbs on the South Beach Diet. I kept reading in the book that many people on the diet had a side effect of getting pregnant. Worked for me. Anyway I am trying South Beach again this time, why not? At least maybe I'll lose some weight. And maybe get pregnant as a bonus! (I've taken off 9 pounds already!)

MY ob told me to try that or Atkins... he said both the diets lower insulin levels, which helps with conception. (But I'm not a dr., so who knows)

I might be headed that way myself, as I am getting desperate.

Just take care... the Atkins Diet (so low carb diet) is not appropriate for pregnant women... not even for the few days that you don't know you are pregnant. Benign Dietary Ketosis (the condition of fat burning while on a low carb diet) is directly linked to miscarriage.

If you are on a diet, make sure it is balanced.
