I'm still officially 39 but this Board seems so great I can't imagine going anywhere else! I spent 9 lovely weeks on the pg over 40 Board. However, yesterday I spent recovering from a d/c. I went for the first u/s Tuesday and there was a perfect fetus, but no hb.

I have 5 already -- yes I'm that crazy -- 13ds, 9ds, 6ds, 11dd, and

First off I'm sending big hugs to you. I'm sorry that you're having to go through this again.

(((((Nikki)))) I'm so sorry for your 4 losses! It is great that your doctor is supportive and that you should get some answers with the testing. On the bright side, it seems easy for you to conceive. That is a big part of the problem. Hopefully blood work will reveal something that is easy to treat.

I have 4 children and recently discovered that I am pregnant with identical twins, conceived naturally. I am 42 years old. You have time and it can happen for you. Good luck and please stick around! This is a wonderful board/community.

Thanks Guys!!! I really want to try again, but am anxious to hear what the genetic results are on the little one I lost. If it is something that was a fluke or can be treated-- like a rejection to my husband (-:, then I will feel more confident about moving forward. If its some crazy jumbled up DNA thing then I don't know.... I have 5 healthy kids, so that seems so unlikely. I think the waiting for the test results will be the hardest part.

08 has been a really rough year. So I'm looking to get a fresh start and a fresh outlook in 09. This Board is so positive and refreshing...Its nice to have "friends" who understand wanting a baby at our AMA!! I'm just going to say my prayers that it was nothing I did wrong, and that the OB has some wonderful treatment, and that if/when I get pregnant again it will be peaceful and successful.

Its been a whirlwind week, but I actually feel more positive now that the D/C is over. I have to wait for the 1st natural AF and then its back to counting days. Some day I'll figure out the whole Ticker thing!!

I am 46 and currently 25 weeks pregnant with my 6th. My husband had a Vasectomy reversal when I was 40 and 1/2. We had a beautiful baby boy when i was 43 and never used any birth control after his birth. In March I discovered I was pregnant again but had my first miscarriage. 3 months later I discovered I was pregnant again!!!! I hope this helps and you get some answers that will help.

Thanks Guys!

I will work on the Ticker Thing tomorrow when the wild Indians are back at school.

I am so happy and proud for those of you that have made it through the miscarriage and had the faith to try it again. You are an inspiration! I will call the dr tomorrow to see when the test results will be in on the tissue they removed at the d/c. The fetus was completely formed and intact; don't know where the hb went wrong....

The more I read about other "repeat" m/c I'm getting a little nervous that I might have some disorder that should have been treated; like a clotting or antibody disorder. It seems to happen every other time--so I'm thinking if this time was the m/c then next time I should be good to go! lol!

My dh has come around and admitted he is just scared. I am too, but

Hi there!!! welcome to the board. you'll love it here!!! i am lynda and i am 43 trying to conceive my 4th. i got pregnant on clomid in june, but sadly m/c'd in august. so i know how you feel. my dh is a total worry-wort too!!! but he's being a real trooper!!! we have two girls and one boy and he could totally be done with the whole ttc thing. my youngest is 2 and she was a total gift from God. I am finding parenting at an older age, very enjoyable!!!! i am on my third cycle since my m/c of ttc.

my friend scared me the other day cause i had to have a d&c and she told me that another one of her friends had a d&c (older woman) and she found out she had scare tissue from the d&c blocking her tubes. so now i'm totally paranoid about it.

i hope you have much success in conceiving!!!

To answer the question from Kim, yes I had the same dh for each mc....Its been like every other time! But re my AMA this time I don't want to hope that it will skip next time and be fine! The OB said each time there is a 1:5 chance of mc; so the way I figure it I should = 1 mc:5 kids right? But its been every other stinking time. She said this was too frequent for otherwise healthy partners. There's a genetic flaw somewhere. My dh said he
