Hi there ladies! I'm new to these boards and so happy to have found them!
First of all, I am joyfully married with fraternal twin girls who will turn 7 in August. Jason and I had been married 3 months when we got PG. Suprise!!! It was even more of a shocker when we found out there were two babies! What a blessing!

So...here we are almost 7 years later and deciding to try for another baby- or two? I fear that with my age and having conceived a natural set of twins that I just may do it again. Anyone have any experiences like this?

We are getting ready to try starting on the 1st of May. I know my cycles and was right on target last month.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about staring to take pre-mnatal vitamins now and if I should add an extra supplement of folic acid.

Would love to hear from all of you moms and future moms 40 and over who are embarking on this great adventure!!

Welcome Leslie : )

I'm 41 TTC at 11 months post vasectomy reversal currently. My last baby was born when I was 37.

Hi Lee,

Thanks for your reply. Well, we're just starting to get serious this month, so we'll see! With only one pregnancy behind me, I don't have any experience with trying and not getting pregnant. I hope it is the case this time too!! Good luck to you and keep in touch!

hey there. I am 41 too and trying toconcieve. I have 3 daughters, ages 9, 11 and 12 but want another baby. My husband is 6 years younger than me and he wants more kids. I feel young enough but am concerned about the risks. A good friend of mine just had her first child in Nov and the age of41 so....

Either way we are having fun trying and hoping for success soon. This is our first month of trying but I will keep you posted.

I'm also 41, and we are TTC#2.
I recommend getting pre-natal vitamins, that way you can be sure you have all the nutrition.

Congrats on your decision!

Hi there Leslie!

I am 41 for now! As we are on the TTC over 40 board... we are all in that boat, together!

A big yes on the prenatal vitamins. They can't hurt and certainly the Folic Acid will help!

I'm 41 and TTC also. I have a 13 month old. Let's hear it for late bloomers!! I heard it's good to start taking prenatals three months before TTC. Good luck.
