Too Early to Test??

Susan is right, you need to read the fine print. There are lots of variables that go into it. Testing 6 days early is based on a 14 day luteal phase, which would put it at 8dpo, regardless of how long your particular luteal phase is. They also say "as soon as" which leaves them quite a bit of wiggle room. Like Susan said, it really depends on when conception and implantation happened, since what they are measuring is the hcg which is only produced after implantation. If the egg is only fertilized at the end of its life, then that would put you back another couple of days to 10dpo or even later if it is slower to implant as well, but if it is fertilized right off the bat and implants earlier than most and grows quickly, then the hcg is much higher even just two or three days sooner. Does that make sense? I know what I am trying to say, just not sure it is coming out very clear! Lol! These newer tests are incredibly sensitive, but the baby still needs time to grow. I think they measure as little as 15hcg, (most are 25 now, the poorer ones are 50) but starting at virtually nothing and doubling every 2 to 3 days, it can still take a bit of time to get up that high.
