What was your favorite thing to do on your summer break from school?
I loved to swim and (in some years) go to camp. If I had my way I would have spent the entire two months at camp every year.

In my younger days, it was summers at my Grandparents' cottage on Lake Winnesquam, NH.
In my mid-late teens, it was attending

My mother would take my sister and I on the military base to an outside pool and drop us off.
I had a few Faves...
- Going to Jones Beach in Long Island
- Going to the pool where I was eventually a lifeguard
- Hanging out with my Dad and going fishing on his boat in the Great South Bay
- Jones Beach Concerts
- Hamptons
- My dad worked for the Airline so we flew to quite a few vacations but I was always jealous of friends who went away to camp
- My SCARIEST summer memory was going with my parents to a funeral in Brooklyn and sitting in the car outside with my dad and going for ices.
Gosh, I STILL watch All My Children.

When I was a kid I just loved to play outside with my best friends, but my favorite memory was dad always loved to take us to a Canarsie Brooklyn promenade to watch the planes fly by really low. It was near the water and after that we'd go to our favorite park.
My mom always used to take us to Canada
I was a total tomboy and country kid. I did nothing in the summers but run around outside exploring fields and old houses and catching snakes and whatever else. We didnt have air conditioning so it was actually cooler outside and we preferred to be there.
In my more social, close to teen years, I would ride my bicycle to town (13 miles away) to visit my friends and spend the day with them.
