My DH and I met in High School. My school was the second of three HS's my DH attended in his senior yr. His dad just felt like dragging the family round and they moved alot when he was growing up. I happened to notice him one day in the hall near the lockers. I thought he was kinda cute behind those big dorky glasses he had at the time! LOL So I began saving him a seat on the school bus. Since he was the new kid he gladly accepted it. We had a 1 hour bus ride each way to school. So I worked my magic on him during those 2 hours a day! LOL He was kind of quiet and shy. Which ironically pissed me off a few yrs later, but I have worked that out and accepted that over the yrs. After all I knew full well he was that way when I married him right?! His family moved 40 miles away just a couple months later but we kept seeing each other. And of course I ended up PG and he married me. Thats when I knew he was "The One!" I know, I know... kinda redneck for sure. But where I grew up every one was red neck and I didn't know any better, but I sure do now! I wouldn't do things that way if given to do over. But he has been a wonderful husband/father and we basically grew up together.
Susan, I thought I should give everyone else a chance to answer since I always do mine first ;-)
I met my DH through telepersonals (phone personals since replaced by online). He had an intelligent voice -- I am into voices, and as an auditory learner it's something I pay attention to. When we met he looked exactly as he described himself. The thing that got me was that he looked right at me and really listened when I talked to him. We had similar interests and were both vegetarians.
I really knew he was the one when, six months into our relationship, I became suddenly severely ill. We lived in different cities, and DH, who only had seven sick days per year, told me he would take off as many sick days as needed to care for me.
ROTFL at your Theresa. Sorry, I wasn't even thinking that not everyone has a DH/SO etc. But your answer was hilarious. I sure hope your "DH" comes through for you again.

ROTFLMAO!!! I just HAD to giggle when I read this one!
Sorry, but my current SO is a test tube which costs me approximately $625 per vial (that includes shipping, of course) per month.
I knew he was the one when he got me pg on the first try with my daughter (I changed donors 3 times).

DH and I met at Wendy's! He and his family are franchisees and he worked at the one that was close to my work.
