Two critical ?s about charting & BDing

I was reading that CD1 starts on the first day of full menstrual bleeding. I started my period yesterday with my typical dark/brownish, very light flow. This morning -- what I consider to be CD2 -- was the first day of full, red, menstrual bleeding. So, should I consider today to be CD1 since yesterday was just the brownish light start of the period?
Secondly, my fertility chart says that my forecasted fertile days are 9/24, 9/25, 9/26 with forecasted ovulation day of 9/27.
Should we start BDing on 9/24-9/27 every day? Doesn't that lower the amount of sperm being deposited if we BD every day, or does the sperm count build back up over the next 24 hrs? Should we BD every other day? Should we BD on the day of ovulation and the day after?
He'd better be up for this, that's all I got to say! BDing every day is not our style. 8-)
Would love to hear input. Thanks!
