Waiting for O

Does anyone else here feel that waiting for ovulation is way more stressful then the 2ww? Maybe it is because I am not sure that I have a regular cycle yet, but I find myself very stressed before I O. I am compulsive about doing OPKs 3x a day so I don't miss my surge. I find myself checking my temperature chart

Morning ladies!

It's CD10 and I guess my temps are shaping up better than last month, the dive is later - great! and deeper which might make for an easier read. Tomorrow's temperature would either continue to plummet or would start to rise a little. Considering I am getting up 2.5 hours

Annemarie,

My DH is the same way. He doesn't really want to now what is going on. Though he did ask me last week if this was the time that I wanted lots of sex?lol.

The pos on your CBEFM is your LH surge and means you should O in the next 12-36hrs. Ideally you want to BD just before you O so the Dh's little swimmers have time to get up your tubes to fertilize your egg when it is released. I have read that the egg only lives from 12-24 hrs after it is released and little swimmers only live up to 3 days. If you got your first pos on Saturday morning you probably O'd late Sat night or some time on Sunday, but you could have O'd as late as Monday morning. I think with the Friday night/Sunday afternoon you are fine. I hope your progesterone is nice and high.

Don't really know what my body is doing. Pos OPK on Tuesday and neg since then, but temps are still down this morning. I got a new battery for my thermometer, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Tried to get a new thermometer just to compare readings, and I went to 4 stores, target and 3 different drug stores, and no basal thermometers. I have my progesterone scheduled for next Wed based on my pos opk Tues, but I am not holding out much hope for this cycle. I am going to try to just stay positive for however long this cycle lasts, and just hope AF comes soon if it is not meant to be.

Annemarie,

Me RE said that the reason to do the dpo7 progesterone test is to make sure that you are ovulating. If your progesterone level is not > 10 on dpo7 he said that you did not ovulate even though you got a pos OPK and/or a temperature shift. Not

Thanks AnneMarie. Also, what's that book you have? I bought a book on fertility but it turns out it wasn't that great IMO.

I worry about miscarriage in general but I think my biggest concern is the medicine I take for my asthma. When my husband was in medical school he looked up my preventative med -Advair and it is classified as category C - ie not known if it is harmful or not. Oh well, if I stop taking it I have to take my fast acting more. I gotta breathe.

The one book is called Making Babies: A proven 3 month program for Maximum Fertility by Sami S. David, MD and Jill Blakeway.
