I can relate to some of it..... my daughters are 22 and 25.....I am 42.
I have those concerns, and I wonder about raising an "only child" as I doubt there would be siblings.....I don't have any baby stuff either, and I know about lack of sleep, etc.....
But my thoughts are just that I've always done whatever it takes, and if God blesses us with a baby, I will just do whatever it takes. I will get baby stuff, I will work out a sleep schedule, I will make close friends with the playmate's family so my child won't be lonely....just whatever I have to do, I will. And I know it will be o.k.
It looks like you have a wonderful family and I wish you all the best! Keep us posted on what you decide to do..... I'm all for having more!!
Hi! And WELCOME to you! Say! We have alot in common! I also have 7 children. Mine are ages 4yrs-25 yrs. I am 43 yrs old, DH is 44 yrs. I have the same thoughts and concerns as you mentioned. I am leaving this TTC in the Lord's hands. I do not temp or chart but watch CM signs and dates and just go with that. I recently had a m/c at 14 wks back in Oct. We would really like just one more if the Lord has it planned. I wish you my very best and look foreward to hanging round with you on the board! Love, Renee
I only have 5! But I'm hoping for another. (actually, I'd love twins at this point, but don't tell my dh) It took long enough to convince him we need 1 more!!!
I think its great, god willing. I mean if our bodies are up to it and we embrace this as parents, then its all good. It's no one else's business really.
I know, for me personally, this time has by far been the biggest challange. My dh is only home about 6 days/mo from work and I had a mc on Thanksgiving of an otherwise healthy boy...Now this cycle I had an egg develop into a cyst and my cycle won't restart until it passes.
Funny we spend so much time pining over whether to jump in and then we jump, and then when it doesn't happen on the first shot its so frustrating!

I don't feel so "odd" hearing what you all have to share.
Welcome Teresa.
