Well, my doctor just called with test results. It's not terrible, but it could be better.
My FSH and estrogen levels were where they should be. So yay for that!
My thyroid, on the other hand, is out of whack--it seems it's overactive (I don't know how overactive--she didn't give me a number).
And ... J's SA was abnormal, too. :( It was low overall, and with only 9 million "normal" (40m is optimal).
I haven't told J yet ... he's going to be sad.
So next steps are for me to go back in for an ultrasound to check on that cyst she noticed, and a redo of the thyroid test to double check on those results. And J is supposed to do another SA in about a month, after doing what we can (multivitamin, etc.) to up the count in the meantime. We can look at meds for me to even out my levels, but beyond that the next thing she mentioned was IUI. Honestly, I don't know if we're willing to go there.
I'm feeling kind of cruddy about the whole thing. Including the low-ish progesterone, it just seems like there are a lot of factors against us. I mean, it's not to the point where it's impossible or anything, but the deck's definitely stacked against us.
Anyway, I need to get back to work, and stop dwelling on this so I don't start crying at my desk. I just want to go home ...
