BOY! Richard  "Ricky" Golden. He weighed 12oz, has long legs, and a big forehead. He had both hands behind his head (one of each side that he was resting on) and legs crosses laying vertical. He sleeps like daddy. The ultrasound tech had to shake my belly to wake him up.

We wrapped the profile picture of the ultrasound in a frame for the grandparents and took pictures of my dad and MIL opening them. My dad cried, which is funny because he has 7 grandkids (three step grandkids two of which are girls) and the rest are boys by his four daugthers. He always wanted a boy and now all of his girls had boys. He's an awesome grandpa and loves being surrounded by boys, especially since he thinks they all look like him! MIL and FIL didn't understand what it was (even though it was in a blue picture frame), so I had to tell them it was in a blue picture frame, so what did that mean... then they got it. They were both rooting for a girl since they knew that's what we wanted, but we really are okay with a boy, more than we thought we would be.

Plus, now hearing that DH said he would be happy just having one if it was a girl and I want three... even if the next one is a boy, they can just be brothers or of it a girl, we'll have one of each. I do eventually want a girl, so hopefully I am blessed with one, but we are happy..

Plus, I love green! I'll just have to get one of those pee cloths!

Congrats Amanda! I'm glad that all the grandparents were excited to be team blue! You'll just have to keep trying to sway for a girl the next time. That's funny that the US tech had to wake up the baby! Glad everything is doing well. I can't wait to see my baby for the first time since we won't get an US until the 20 week one. Yay for team blue, I'm so excited for you both!

Thanks Dina! I thought it was funny, too. But, I guess he sleeps during the day because he flips and kicks at night. Although, he was doing that yesterday too when I was talking a lot during open house. I figured I'll probably be able to feel him a lot when I'm teaching since he'll here my voice and respond it. Honestly, I don't think we'll sway next time because at that point if we have another boy, then Ricky will just have a brother, and if we have a girl then we'll have one of each. Depending on what the next one is, we may sway again for the third, we'll see. We want our first two to be 18months-two years apart and then a space of 2-3 years between the 2nd and 3rd.... that is if I can take DH into a third. We are all really excited. I mean, he's a healthy baby, so how could we not be?! DH did say since he was measuring a little big at 12 oz and average is 10oz that I have to eat more veggies/salad, especially since baby starts swallowing amniotic fluid, so really eating what you're eating and develops a taste for it. DH is not big on veggies himself, so it's important to him that our baby is. I already bought a green camouflage onesie and E mentioned the super hero ones, so I'll have to check those out, too.

Only six weeks until you find out. It's so incredible seeing your baby, especially seeing it move. I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to hear what you're having!
