Well, after almost 6.5 years of marriage and almost that many years saying I doubt I want any kinds, DH and I are TTC.

Oh, and that would be KIDS. It's such a foreign idea to me, I can't even spell it! Sheesh.

Welcome to the board! I felt the same way about kids. DH and I will be married 6 years this coming Aug and about a year and a half ago, it went from "Kids..never!" to "maybe it would be a good thing". I think when you feel calm about it is when you're ready. I felt that way last summer. When we first started talking about it a year and a half ago, I was really nervous but I'm glad we waited until October to start trying. Once we started, I felt really calm about it instead of nervous.
This board has really helped me out and there are some great ladies on here! GL and I hope your stay on here is short n sweet! :)

Welcome to the board! This is a great place for advice and support during TTC. Looks like we're cycle buddies. CD 1 for me was 1/22 as well. Best of luck to you! Post away!

Welcome to the board! TTC is a major decision, and however long it takes you to decide it's something you want is perfectly fine. I'm so happy you found us and I look forward to sharing with you on your journey.

Feel free to join in and start any new conversations, and remember that nothing here is TMI. The Newbie Guide to TTCYFC also has loads of helpful info so be sure to check that out. I'm always available for anything you need!

Hi there!

Hello and welcome,

All of us here feel your pain, know only too well your frustration, and hope your stay here is short, I've actually been a lurker and participant on this board off and on for years! We are all empathetic, sympathetic, and good at 'listening' and best of all, we're wonderful cheerleaders for each other.

I understand about being overweight (I topped out at 356lbs at my biggest) and am still overweight at 194lbs, however, if while you are ttc, change the way you eat, start getting active (even if you start out walking 15-30 minutes a day together, that's what DH and I do with our dogs daily), every little bit can help, even if you don't necessarily lose a lot of weight, your body will be better prepared for the stresses pregnancy puts on it, it can help with your lung capacity (you will find it difficult to breathe in late pregnancy) and it will help you continue a healthy lifestyle throughout the pregnancy, start with small changes (it's hard to change overnight, but weight loss surgery forced me to). Being healthy is the most important thing, feeling healthy is most important as well.

I hope your stay here is short, I hope that sticky bfp comes quickly for you! But we're here for you.

Thanks Tonya for your kind message, and congrats on your weight loss progress! 194lbs sounds great, but I know it's a difficult journey. I am at 256 now, and I am 5'10". I do agree that walking is a huge help, and I practice yoga too, which helps with my breathing. I can only imagine the breathing when pregnant - ugg! It would be a nice to have a short stay here, but while I may have friends that somehow get pregnant during their first month of trying, I don't anticipate it being that easy for us. But, we shall see! Gotta keep the faith! :-D
