Coming Over From Another Message Board....

Hello everyone! I'm new to this website and just wanted to see if newbies are welcome here to ask questions freely. I know that this seems like a ridiculous question, but the site I'm coming from sort of bit my head off because I posted a question with a fairly new status. My husband and I just started trying and I'm learning so much right now. I really just want to know there are others out there that I can turn to. Is this a pretty welcoming site?

That is so refreshing! I'm 9 days past ovulation... Should I be concerned if my HCG levels are negative? .... Or is it too early? I've been told that implantation occursaround 7 DPO, and that the levels don't start to accumulate untl after this. If they're negative does this mean there's still a chance for pregnancy or not this time around?

You're totally still in this. It's not over until you get a BFP or until AF comes! This is a really welcoming board and everyone is great here. We all want the same thing and we support each other through this tough time. There is a list of abbreviations at the top of the TTC your first child page. I'm not sure if your other board used many abbreviations or not. Welcome and we look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Kelli! Welcome! I hope you find this board much more welcoming. The women here are amazing. We've got ladies that have been trying for quite some time, I'm at 2 yrs, and ladies that are more new to the roller coaster. Please make yourself right at home. We have sections on the board that cover all things TTC, hosting AF, and then the waiting weeks. You would be in the waiting weeks now.

As others have mentioned, your're definately still in it for this cycle. 9DPO is still pretty early to get a BFP on a home test. I would normally recommend waiting 12- 14 days DPO. It does take time for the HCG to build up enough to get detected on the home test. I would definately recommend the site www.early-pregnancy-tests.com as a place to get cheap, accurate PG tests.

You had a blood draw? I know that my RE won't do a beta until 14DPO for my IUI's. I still thought that your body won't produce significant quantity of HCG until after implantation. That is when your body knows it is pregnant, and starts producing the needed support hormones.
