I am 34 and my husband is 41. If we conceive it will be the first child for us both. I just made an appointment to see my OB GYN because we have been trying for a year.. would jump to a fertility specialist right away if I knew my employers

Hi and welcome goddess_cherub. :) I think a lot of women on this board will be able to relate to your feelings.
I'm 29, almost 30 and my DH is 38. People at work constantly tell me that I am "old" and better "hurry up" and have children while I still can. It's crazy, and rude.
Good luck at your OB appointment, I hope your doctor has some helpful suggestions for you.

I turn 34 in April and have been TTC for 16 months now so I totally feel your pain.
tess0425, I am so glad that I've found a place to share how I'm feeling! I have had a really hard time with staying positive the last three months.. I have read that stress can affect fertility, so now I am really trying to visualize having a baby and not worry so much about when it will happen. If that makes sense? I just want to focus on what could (hopefully!) happen instead of what hasn't yet..
