I'm Jamie, Me and My boyfriend recently moved in together. We've been trying for 5 months. I've been told from a doctor last year, it would be hard for me because I never got my periods, for months. Since being with him, I've had one every month.. but they are starting to come later and later, and this month I didn't get one. But haven't taken a test, because it always turns up negative. And everytime I do, I end up gettin' my period a week or two later. It feels like I jinx myself! Haha.. I hate it! I think a baby would make our home complete, I'm 22 I'm ready for that step. He has a 20 month old girl, with his ex- but we never get to see her. And she's a doll, so I know it's me, not him. :/ It's frustrating. I've been trying to eat healthier and excersize lately. It gets to the point where it's disappointing sometimes.. I've cried when he's not around. I've never been to a gyno, but I'm thinking about it. I'm a little skurred of what they'd say.. But that's my story! To whoever listens. :] <3

Hi Jamie, welcome to the board. I don't have irregular periods but can understand how frustrated you are with the challenges you are facing. If I were you I would go see the gyno and see what they say... it is hard enough to get a bfp when you don't have any issues so wait.

KUP on what you decide to do!

Thank you for your opinion. And I will do.. I've been debating on whether to or not. Its probably a good decision to! I have to sooner or later, right? Lol :]

Hi Jamie! Welcome to the board! This is really such a wonderful place to be to discuss all things ttc. I have made some great friendships here, and look forward to getting to know you as well!

One of the biggest challenges with ttc is that when you're ready, you're ready! Having to wait for something to happen, regardless of how long you've been trying, can be frustrating. The absolute best thing you can do for yourself is go to the doctor. Even if you don't go to an Ob/Gyn, seeing your primary care doctor will at least get the conversation going. I think the unknown is scarier than actually knowing because if there was something wrong they can work with you to correct it.

Like you, I have extremely irregular cycles (I'm currently on CD72 and just O'd a couple of days ago) and know how frustrating it is. One of the biggest things to knwo is when/if you O because if you don't O you can't get pg. Have you thought about charting your BBT? If you're not familiar with it, check out www.fertilityfriend.com for a charting tutorial and loads of helpful information. You can also try OPKs which will tell you that O is coming.

Again, I'm so glad you found us and look forward to getting to know you. Nothing here is TMI so feel free to ask anything. Sending loads of baby dust your way!
