Hey Shana! Happy February!

I had my (second) HSG on Monday. Everything came back normal, but I was in pain for the day following. My laparoscopy is a week from Thursday, and we should be proceeding with IUI after that.

How's everyone doing?

Hi ladies! I'm struggling through my first day back at work post-birthday (hello, 30!)/vacation. Vacation was great, I had fun with my parents, Disneyland was as wonderful as always (I love that place!), but coming back to work today was tough, and it was a hectic, tense morning, which did not help.

But anyway ... getting caught up around here ...

Diane - ((((hugs)))) to you on reaching the one-year mark. I just passed it too, and it sucks.

Brittany - It's good to see you more active on the board! I'm sorry the endo is back. I'll be thinking of you on the 9th ... hope all goes well and you can go on to a successful IUI!

Tess - I'm crossing EVERYTHING for you!!!

Shana - I hope the next several months before the IVF are just a wonderful, happy, relaxing time for you. (And that the Fertilaid works some wonders! :) )

Tiffany - Big hugs to you, too. That's a lot of big/tough milestones at once. I hope this IUI gets the job done!

AFM ... I'm 8 dpo, and my temp started its slow descent today, so AF should show up this weekend, and we'll be on to cycle 15. I'm not surprised--we didn't "try" very hard this cycle. We've both just been feeling kind of discouraged about the whole thing. I have an appointment next Thursday for an ultrasound to make sure that ovarian cyst went away on its own, and bloodwork to re-check my thyroid.

Hello Everyone!!

Diane- Hugs, one year is harsh. I'm so sorry you're still here :(

Brittany- I am so cheering for you! If you have any questions about IUI, I'm on my 4th, so ask away.

Tess- I'm pulling for you! I'm sure you'll be fine with the shots. I'm the bigest chicken ever and I gave myself one. You can do it!

Shana- Hello gorgeous!!

Rebekah- Your vacation sounds great! I haven't been to either Disney yet. I totally want to go sometime.

AFM-- I'm going into the docs tomorrow for our next monitoring, we'll probably trigger and have IUI on Saturday. This is our last try at the IUI. They made us make an appointment for a "next steps" consultation for March 20th. :( To make things more fun we're moving to Arkansas at the end of March. In AR they require insurance plans that cover maturnity to cover infertility including IUI/IVF. So, if we don't get it this time, we'll probably be moving to IVF in the summer.

Tiff!!! That is great news!! Why the move to Arkansas? Hooray for states with mandatory IF coverage!!! Hopefully the IUI works and you don't need to worry about it, but it's gotta be nice to know IVF might be a realistic option.
Rebekah- I was just thinking how I missed amusement park rides...especially Disney! They put so much thought into things, even waiting in line is usually entertaining. FX your US goes well and that cyst is history. Do you have next steps planned yet?
AFM-FINALLY got AF today at about 20 dpo. So, go in Sunday for an US and if all goes well, start stims Sunday night. I'm excited but trying to stay realistic so I'm not crushed if it doesn't work. There are a lot of nice women on the IVF board but its not the same as my TTCYFC girls!! Thanks for all your support guys!

Ok here I come… I suppose I am a longtimer (18 months) at this point! Waiting to O right now... really trying to not to obsess over charting this month but it is tough. I promised DH I wouldn't temp. because he said I became obsessed with it last month. He is totally right. It is so stinkin hard not to overthink every little thing, right?! Since my surgery in November to remove my vaginal septum, I feel like the disappointment just intensifies each month.

Rebekah – GL at your Ultrasound appointment!

Shana – I know it is bittersweet to have IVF to look forward to but you can take a deep breath and enjoy the fact that you do have a big TTC milestone ahead of you!

Brittany – GL with your Lap. I had one back in September. It was there they found my Uterus Didelhpys – imagine my surprise when I woke up in the recovery room to my husband saying “so… you have two reproductive systems!”… They can find so many correctable issues with the Lap… who knows, maybe they will find a little something and be able to correct it right then and there? As for the pain, the gas bubbles kind of suck but you just need to get up and moving around asap so they don’t build up too much! GL!

Diane – Hopefully all of your future TTC stories will begin, “We TTC for just over a year before we got pg with our DS/DD and now we are celebrating another birthday!”

Tiffany – GL with your big move! Do you guys have a place all picked out?

Tess- You stick around here- we don't want to lose you!! I'll keep you in my thoughts for your first self injection. You're a strong lady, I'll know you'll do just fine.

E- WELCOME!! You're definately a "long timer", don't be shy! I love the color of your dress in your pic, so pretty on you!! I definately feel you on the obessing, I'm the same way. I am completely type A, and try to force the world to my will, boy has TTC put that through a loop! I'll send lots of love and positive thoughts your way so we can move the EC boards together!

Diane- (((Hugs))) How are you my dear?

Rebekah- I hope your appointment went well and you got good results.

Shana- How is your world, is the theater room done? How's your sweetheart's training going? I always think of his bravery when I see an ambulance. Such a noble brave calling!

AFM- I am relaxing on the sofa after our IUI this morning. It went sooo well. My last three were done by our nurse, who I love, but today the doc did it. Last month's IUI was very painful, I had to have my husband hold my hand and I was on the verge of tears. This time, I barely felt it. He looked at my ultrasound pics from yesterday and said "Oh, you're tilted, no wonder" he then went back down there, made a small adjustment and got me inseminated. My nurse slipped me some progesterone cream to put in the hoo-hoo today. This is our last go at the IUI, and since we're in the study, we aren't technically supposed to get anything. She smiled and said "don't ask, don't tell". This leads me to believe that my progesterone levels haven't been as good as we'd like in follow up draws in the past. Here's hoping we have it.

As for the move to Arkansas- we don't have a place picked yet, but I'm sure the right thing will open up. I'm orignally from Arkansas, so we're just going home. We'll be living near my parents, which will be nice. My mom and I are incredibly close and I miss her a lot. I also have a lot of friends there, and the support will be nice. Also, my dad is disabled, and was a stay at home dad, raising my sister and I, and he has already declared that his grandbaby will not be going to day care, LOL. He is an awesome guy and has been an incredible force in my life.

Afternoon ladies! Happy weekend..... Yeah.

Tess- sorry the hag showed! The nerve right! Hopefully she leaves quickly and you guys can get to BDing for this cycle!

Rebekah - I need a vacation! Your sounded like a delight. Anything to get your mind off TTC for a while right? You know I was thinking the other day, do you HAVE to be a mom to be a stay at home mom? Or I guess stay at home wife? I would just love to stay home all

Happy Monday, all! I'm stuck at work, even though I'm done and ready to go, because our parking situation is weird and I'm stuck till the girl parked behind me leaves. So I figured I'd pop in and say hi. How was everyone's weekend?

Tiffany - I so hope this IUI does the trick! It's great that you'll have IF coverage if it doesn't, but I hope you don't end up needing it!

Tess - I'm excited for you! Do keep us posted. To answer your question, no firm next steps figured out--at this point we're just waiting on the repeat tests.

Ellen - Welcome to our little clubhouse! :) It is so, SO hard not to overthink every little thing. Good luck keeping things low-key this cycle. It's good to do now and then, when we can manage it!

Shana - I fantasize now and then about quitting my job, but I think I'd get bored after awhile. I am, however, hoping that when I go to grad school next year I'll be able to go full-time and not work for a couple years. I hope you're starting to feel better. And your painting work looks great!

AFM - AF finally showed today, after taunting me with dropping temps for a couple days, so I'm officially on Cycle 15. Blah. I'm anxious about my appointment on Thursday. Hopefully it will lead to some answers. In other news, one of my best friends just started TTC. I have such mixed feelings about it--we've talked for years about how fun it would be to have kids at the same time, so I'm hopeful that maybe it will happen. And I'm excited for her! But I'm also afraid this will be yet another journey from TTC to pregnancy to child that I'll watch while I remain "stuck."

Anyhow, time for me to head home. J gave me a Kitchenaid mixer for my birthday (I've wanted one for a long time), and I have some cookie-baking to do! :)
