Hi everyone, I am Katie and my fiance is J (more on that later).

I am 27 and was diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 21, when I got a laparoscopy to remove a cyst on my fallopian tube and have been on the pill ever since. After working for a few years and deciding it was not for me, I decided to go back to school and get my bachalor's degreee in Finance and will be graduating in the spring.

About 4 months ago the baby bug really hit me, although I have always wanted at least 2 or 3 children, so we talked it over and decided that even though not everything is in place, like the marrage, we would try to start a family. I am on my 3rd cycle after going off the pill and still trying to figure out how long my cycles are, so far I have had a 28 day and a 35 day cycle. Before going on the pill my cycles were 35 days, so I am thinking the 28 day one was a fluke (although on the pill I had 35 day cycles, since my doc thought it would be better not to change it).

Welcome Katie! Of course things in life never go as they are planned :) so putting the carriage before the horse (baby before marriage) isn't a problem! As long as you are in love and know you're going to be with that person for ever I say grab life as it it and just go with it!

Going off BC (Birth control) may take a few cycles for your body to regulate. But right now you can start watching O (ovulation) signs (like EWCM-egg white cervical mucus, and watching for slight pains in your abdomen around mid cycle), and start taking your temperature with a Basal Body thermometer that would get you off to a good start to know when your most fertile time in your cycles are.

Here's a link to American pregnancy association for signs of O.

I too have Endometriosis that was diagnosed back in 2006, since then I have had 3 Laparoscopies to burn it off. We have been trying for 7 years and have just been referred to an RE (Reproductive Endocrinologist-Specialist) for IVF. It's been a long and tiring battle, I hope your journey is short and sweet! Best of luck to you!

Welcome! I look forward getting to know you. Congrats on your degree and upcoming marriage. I think it's a great decision to chart your cycles as they can take a while to get back on track. I also think that getting a jump start on TTC is smart too. Some people get pregnant right away after going off BC. Of course, it's one of those things that vary woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy, but I hope your time here is short.

I am the same age as you and this is our first month TTC too! This board is great for venting and support since we're all going through this journey together.

GL on your TTC journey!
