New here and have questions about cervical mucus

Hi there everyone. My husband and I are on our 3rd active month of trying for our first bundle of joy lol. I have a question about cervical mucus though. I am a very visual person and need to see things rather than read descriptions. I mean, most things I can just read something and know, but when it comes to cervical mucus... I definitely need a picture haha. So, I'm just going to describe mine and see what feeback I get (: I just checked it (sorry if TMI) but it's kind of whiteish, stretches 2-3 centimeters, and it's in abundance. I'm not sure what that means. I'm trying to stay calm and not stress out this month but I'm so nervous I'm going to miss the "big O" :(

That sounds like what they refer to as Egg White Cervical Mucus (EWCM) which is the BEST kind, you should try to Baby Dance (BD) on that day for sure, it signals your most fertile mucus. Good luck with that BFP!!!

You sounds like you're experiencing EWCM, which like Michelle said is the most fertile type of mucus. You should keep in mind, most people actually don't Ovulate on the first day of EWCM, but it's more so around the 3rd or 4th day of it. But if you're like me, you could only experience it for one or two days. At the first sight of EWCM you should try and BD every day, but do keep in mind, if you BD only once, EWCM is considered the most fertile time because that type of mucus is actually very helpful to sperm, it helps them swim up the cervix and towards the egg best. AND sperm can live up to 5 days in fertile mucus. So you do the math :) your chances are best to try for your little bundle of joy for the next few day's :) GL

The CM issue is a little confusing for me too. I am a visual person too, and I think it helps to keep track of it throughout the cycle and then it's easier to notice when it changes. That way you're looking at the trend rather than just one day.

That sounds promising :) I would take it as a good sign and keep bd'ing to make sure you don't miss it.
