Hi newbie gals!

I am at 9dp (cycle #2). Last cycle my temp dropped on day 9, so I was all excited this morning that it was still up and just had to POAS, only to get... a bfn.

But! I'm still holding onto a little bit of hope because I'm feeling no signs one way or another. I had one brief time of what I thought was af-type cramps starting up (yesterday, I think it was) but other than that absolutely nothing that says "af is on her way!" or the opposite. If my temps stay up tomorrow and friday, I'll test again. In the meantime, I'm trying to focus on work to keep my mind off the big ? in my head. Deadlines every few days for the next few weeks, so I have plenty to do. If only I could stay focused!

Hi Ladies!

Well this cycle holds a lot of different and new things :/ had my md appt today.... 90% certain I have PCOS :/ not sure how i feel about it yet trying to increase exercise decrease weight and actual have AF to visit would be quite special. I am feeling very overwhelmed about it at the moment. I know its normal and it will be okay but today just felt like I need to have my pity party (sad I know) I know i have lots of support between all of you wonderful ladies and my friends/family its just like blah. Glad we finally have an answer of some sort.

So thats where we are awaiting more blood work to come back... and moving on and trying to get things taken care of.

Hey Girls! :) Happy February. Month of love, ooh la la! ;) Sorry I've been quiet for a few days. I'm in the beginning of my cycle which is super boring, and AF has been really mean the last few days too so I've been grumpy.

Amanda - I'm so sorry you fall into that unexplained/fluke 20% group. :( Maybe if the pregnancy had continued a little longer an explanation would have become available. Either way, I hope you don't have to experience any more losses. It is so great that you will get extra monitoring in your first trimester when you get pregnant again. I'm glad your D&C and recovery weren't too bad, but I'm sorry you have to wait so long to try again. I know 2 months must feel like forever. I've had similar thoughts about skipping the winter months. But DH and I just can't do it. I can't help but think that the month we decide to skip would be the month we would have gotten knocked up. I was really excited for a September or October due date, and now feel less excited for November or December. But honestly, once I see a BFP I don't think I will care at all when that baby is due.

Dina - hope you're enjoying lot's and lot's of BD'ing! ;) Do you have an anticipated O date? How's the clomid treating you? Are you feeling any side effects from it at all? I know it sucks to work a lot, but you will enjoy that big paycheck! Definitely treat yourself to something when you do get paid. :)

Carlene - I'm sorry to hear you might have PCOS. :( When will you get the rest of the bloodwork results back? Good luck with the weight loss and exercise. What kind of exercise are you going to do? I need to get back into working out regularly too and lose a little weight. I'll be your workout buddy! :) I'm going to try to walk, run and do exercise videos at home (aerobics and yoga). Take the time to feel sad and overwhelmed. Pity parties are totally allowed and understandable. On the bright side though, it's great to get a diagnosis, because then you can work out a treatment plan with your doctor and really start moving forward! :) (((HUG)))

April - you're 10 DPO today! How are you feeling? Still planning on testing tomorrow? Don't feel too bad about testing too early. I did the same thing last month, tested on 9DPO like a crazy person. ;)

Hey girls, just checking in with an update.

Yesterday, at 10dp, my temp dropped but was still above coverline. Today it went up a little bit. This is all keeping me clinging to hope, because as I've posted before, last month my temp had tanked by now and then af showed a few days later. But I took another hpt today and it was a bfn. So now I'm thinking that maybe last cycle, since it was my first month charting, just wasn't an accurate representation of my cycle, and perhaps my temp will drop tomorrow and then af will show tomorrow or sunday. That would be disappointing! But, until she does show I'm still holding on. And literally counting the minutes because I can't wait to see what happens with my temp tomorrow. Please keep your fingers crossed for me that it stays up, up, up!

You guys are so right, by the way-- testing at 9dpo? That is SO early! We're crazy!

How is everyone else doing?

Hi gals,

I have been reading the posts here for a while now, but finally decided to join in this month since the TTC is in full force for me this month. I am sorry if I don’t know everyone’s names yet but I will give it my best shot.

Angelenofoodie (April right?)- A normal LP is between 10 and 14 days so last month could have been a fluke but FX’ed you get a BFP this month and that is why AF has not shown yet and your temps are still up.

April- I agree with Katie that a "normal" LP is b/w 10-14 days. Before I started taking B6 mine was 7-10 and now it's 14. If you're not already taking that I do highly recommend it to make your LP longer. Honestly, when I got pregnant the first time back in August I think my LP was 9, which is part of the reason I attributed it to the miscarriage because it has to be at least 10 for the egg to fertalize properly and make it's way uterus for implantation- that's how long it takes. GL and I hope you get your BFP quickly!

Amanda - Yes, I've heard such good things about B6, and I'm pretty sure my daily multi already has it -- I'll have to check for sure. Do you know if there's any danger in taking too much? Or what the dosage is that you should take each day?

AF showed today :(

April, I take B6 and I believe it's 100mg, I don't think they usually recommend any more than that.

Dina, Amanda, Katie--

Thanks so much for the info on LPs and B6. I remember hearing about the possible effect before, but I always thought, "oh, my multi has 100% of the recommended B6 so I'm covered." But when I started reading around the interwebs about it, I realized that my multi (and the recommended daily intake) is only something like 2-5mg! And that you're most likely to see the helpful effects of B6 if you take 100mg daily! So color me surprised. But I ran out yesterday and bought some, figuring even if my LP isn't frighteningly short, the B6 can't hurt, maybe will help, and at least I can feel like I'm being proactive.
