Okay, I know how to BD...but...how does your BD for a baby differ from BDing for fun?

DH and I were watching The Backup Plan last night (which slightly traumatized him) and I was laughing at her with her legs up in the air and then started wondering...should I be doing that?! :)

So, pass on your tips.

Hi there, I just wanted to tell you what we did, I am a grad as you can see from my siggy, so maybe the technique works? If I knew the timing was right on (meaning if I was nowhere near O I didn't bother),

LOL Im my Health class in 9th grade, I remember the teacher saying "You can get pregnant sitting in a chair, standing straight up, standing on your head." LOL We've tried EVERY position, and sadly it hasn't worked :) I have seen two different OBGYNS, a Specialist, and a midwife, ALL which said, a deep penetration position is the best. So from behind, or a side ways position so the male has the best and deepest penetration to put the swimmers at the opening to the cervix easier. In an average release for a male there are between 40-600 million sperm, yes 600 million! But it only takes ONE to fertilize the egg. Sperm can live in a womens body in fertile mucus for up to 7 day's.

There are many tests I advise you to do. First off, get your DH a semen analysis, and second off, chart your cycles, watch your CM durning the time of your ovulation, get your cycles familiar to you. I've never had fertile mucus, I have very hostile mucus, or NO mucus change at all around O time. I advise you to use a lubricant called Pre-Seed, it can be purchased on line it's about $20.00, but it is the only sperm friendly lubricant that actually helps you conceive. For someone like me that doesn't have mucus change around O, sex isn't very enjoyable, and it doesn't help the swimmers make it to the egg.

Remember, there is NO difference between baby sex and "normal" sex. Try and keep it FUN. It is much much easier said then done, trust me, I know. We've been trying for 6 years with no success. We are on a hold for 2 years mainly because I have become a crazy women in this entire TTC thing. Don't let TTC take over your life! It doesn't help relationships, and it can take a tole on your body. A lot of people told me just not to think about it. But thats impossible! Just don't stress about it. When kids come, they will come. Just stay positive, and get the little tests out of the way first, before jumping into the big tests. :)

Good luck, and stay positive.

You name it, we've tried it! Legs up on the headboard, pillow under my butt, Instead Cups, missionary, doggy...yeah, it's been interesting. lol I remember the first time we attempted the propped hips and we couldn't figure out how many pillows and for how long.

I'm glad you're noticing the CM, that's great! I found that checking internally was so much better for me because I rarely saw it otherwise. However, I understand that you might not be ready for that and you may not even need to go there. :o) Temping is definitely easy and super helpful.
