Post any ideas or things you figured out & want to share with the others under this section.

It seems like I noticed that whenever there is a new post that is what will be at the top.

I'm sorry that I have to go to work & won't be able to experiment with this with all of you!

Hi Siggy,


I was just wondering if there was a reason why the new board seems to be so much slower to post than the old one. I have high speed internet and I am finding it slow sometimes. Is this something that will improve as parentsplace gets used to the new setup of the boards?

In an e-mail that I recieved they said they are still working on the boards and may experience some problems. I hope that once they are finished the boards will speed up. I also have high speed. Everything seems to be going pretty fast for me. But this is my first post here to. Will see....going to keep my fingers crossed that they get this all finished up soon.

I think I'm getting the hang of the outline view. But I don't like how the new window it's in doesn't have a toolbar at the top. If anyone's using the outline view, hit F5 to refresh the page.

Also, Siggy or Bobbie, I was reading on other boards that they can customize the foldersand they are taking votes on what to name them. Will we be doing that too?

I have also been reading about that. Im not to sure on much at this point. Maybe Siggy can answer this once she is home from work. I do plan to read up on this a little more tonight since I have to leave soon to work myself. I did recieve an e-mail about it but I deleted it after I posted it to the board since I could go back to it. Now I don't know how to look at the archives. Probably want be able to. Im sure I will find it again.

where are the archives? I see we can do 7 days back but what about further back? mind you I haven't looked very hard yet so maybe I'm just missing it

One thing I find really weird - did the order in which the folders appear change when I posted new messages, or did I imagine it? That is really confusing if it does change around!!!

The order of the folders changes because the most active folder will always be listed first.

I thought there was going to be a way you could tell which messages you have read? Before it would change the color of the heading, so I knew if I have read a message. I end up reading tons of them before I realize I have already read them...any ideas?

I've figered it out...sorry...it does tell you how many new messages...on the front page...just had to ask before I could answer my own question.
