Making decision to TTC for 1st time, on Zoloft and 37

I searched the previous posts about being on Zoloft while TTC and while pregnant, but there didn't seem to be any mention about the mother's age.

Congratulations on your new journey! Making the decision to ttc is full of so many questions and unknowns, but adding in Rx medication just makes it even more confusing! I'm on blood pressure medication so I always wonder what may happen if I get pg, even though it's "pg safe."

My best advice is to talk to your dr. He/she will have the best insight for you regarding what's safe. Having a prenatal checkup is a good idea I'm general and that can open up the dialogue with your dr. If you're unable to get in right away, read through the Rx inserts or go to the company's website for some basic info.

HTH! Lmk your progress and how you're moving forward.

I actually don't think that I've read anything that reflects that age can have an impact on how Zoloft impacts a pregnancy.

The brain zaps coming off of SSRI's are a real pain! I can't answer your other question, but I can tell you that it took me 6 months to come off of mine. I tapered for a very long time. Good luck to you!
