Oh no! I think I might be getting a yeast infection!!

I'm CD 7, so we're right about to start the mad BD-fest as I get ready to O! I just CAN'T have a yeast infection right now!

The kicker is, I think it may be my body reacting to yesterday's BD (too early to conceive, so just for fun...) because in the past I have found that I can get yeast infections when we have a lot of unprotected sex. Well SHIIIIT because now is the time that we HAVE to have a lot of unprotected sex!!!!! What do I do?!

I would go get a prescription for diflucan (one-day YI pill) but I literally JUST changed insurance companies and have to change primary care doctors....so, I'm between doctors, and I worry I won't be able to get an appointment in time for this weekend's BD fest.

CRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!! Any advice, ladies?

Oh dear! I would first call my old dr and see if they could call in a prescription and just pay for the meds out of pocket. If that didn't work, and you can't get in to see your new dr, I would get an over the counter treatment. I hope you get the issue resolved!

That stinks. Can you get into urgent care at your new doctor's office? I would do that if you can. What we women have to deal with!!

I hope you get meds quick so you can get the groove on. :)

Well, I managed to talk on the phone with a midwife from the center for women where I went last year when I had my m/c.....she told me she wouldn't give me the scrip for the pill, but told me to go use one of those one-day OTC things, and hope that it clears up by the weekend. I guess it's only Tuesday....I was just hoping to BD EOD leading up to O, but now I think we'll have to take three nights off. Grumble!

Yes, the things we women have to deal with! The female reproductive tract is so ridiculously complicated and fickle and moody and......sigh. Penises are so much simpler.

Oh Mary! I am so sorry...it reminds me of a few cycles back when I got a urinary tract infection several days before O time...it ruined our month...but what can you do, sometimes your health comes before TTC. I hope you are able to BD once or twice, but don't push it if your body isn't ready yet.

Blessings!

Hi Mary

That really is just a pain. I hope everything clears up in time to BD.

What an itchy stinkin' nuisance! I'm so sorry you're dealing with this and I hope it clears up quickly! ::hugs:: I hope it doesn't hinder BD-fest!

Ugh, that UTI must have SUCKED....it does bring up an interesting point, because presumably one should not take heavy antibiotics in early stages of pregnancy, right? What if the BD-fest works, but leaves you with a UTI? So complicated! I'm sorry it ruined that cycle for you -- those are really painful.

I did the 1-day thing last night, so now I just wait a few more nights for it to clear up. I haven't had much luck with OTC treatments before, but it'll have to be good enough this month!

Thanks for all the support, ladies!
