Preferred month?
Sun, 08-08-2010 - 6:25am

I figure that anyone on here would be glad to get a healthy baby and it doesn't really matter what month the baby is born in.... BUT.....

Do you have a month that you would perfer?

I have always thought what month would be good.

I thought June would be awesome, because that would be right before my nursing school starts next August and for some reason it just seems like a good month!

But then I was thinking that baby would be the only one in the family that is not born in August... so I thought maybe having the kid born in August would be good.... we'd be like the August family!!!

But my husband thought that then the baby would have to share August with all of us, and he would want the baby to have it's own month....

I don't know; but I really don't like the beginning of the year... it's cold and I definiitely don't really like March.... I don't know why, I just don't! (Sorry for those with a March birthday)....

I'm not a big fan of the traditional big holiday months (November-December.) My brother's birthday is 12/23 and I remember seeing my mom struggle every year trying to not only give him separate gifts, but planning a b-day party during winter break. I've already decided that if I do have children with birthdays during big busy times like these, we'll do half birthdays. I think that would be a fun bonus celebration, another excuse to enjoy each other and celebrate.

I share my birthday with 2 family members, my sister's bday is the week before mine, mom's is 3 days before that, aunt's is 2 days before that. Needless to say, May/June is a busy time! But, I really wouldn't mind adding in another bday just adds to the excitement!

I often think about when my child would start kindergarten, and if he/she would be older or younger than most kids. Kids born beginning around late November usually have to wait until they're almost

I was really hoping to get pg this month and have an April baby. Summer is a slow time with work and it would be easy to be off.

Nope, no preference. At this point, any month that I have a baby is the perfect month to have a baby. Work wise, there are better times than other, but I am so over caring!

I come from a large family, 5 siblings, 4 of them have kids, my two older sisters have 4 each, 3 boys and a girl, and my two older brothers have 2 each all boys. Between everyone in the family, we have a ton of birthdays! July and August are our the most busy, but we don't have anything to celebrate in march, May, or December. I really wanted March baby, I love spring time! I would take a December baby but it would have to be at the beginning of December, but if we got pregnant this cycle I would be due the day before DHs birthday which is in April, I would not mind an April baby at all!!! :) it will save me from buying something crazy for DH! Lol what's a better birthday present then a baby!? I can't think of anything lol!

I'd also love to have a baby with a cool birthday, like, if I were due in October of this year I'd love to have the baby on 10-10-10, next year a cool birthday would be 9-10-11, or 11-11-11, maybe 7-9-11. Yeah know fun ones like that :)

Ideally, I would like an early summer baby. I'm working in a school system, so it seems most logical to have babies when I already have a break from work. But of course this isn't an ideal world, so I will take what I can get. :)

Preferably May-June or September-November. I really like the fall, but I also think May and June would be a good time

Agreed -- early summer or even late spring would be ideal for me, because I work in academia. I work at two schools, but only one gives short-term disability for ideally I'd make it through the school year at the first (ends in early May) but have the baby early enough to get some paid time off from the other! (ends in early June.)

Wishful thinking? Probably. I'll take what I can get, but I am waiting one more cycle to TTC because I really can't afford to not finish the school year at the other school (it's a much better job, I'm only adjunct there,
