Hi Everyone,

This is my first post to the board and that I would give you a little background on me and see if anything has experienced what I'm experiencing.

Hi there, and welcome! I'm happy you found us, and so glad you decided to post! (And a big congratulations on your marriage!(

Cycles following BCP can be very wonky, and can take 6 months (or longer) to regulate back to how they were pre-bcp. Sadly, if your cycles were already long and/or anovulatory, they should go back to that. I was on BCP for a number of years and my cycles quickly returned to how they were pre-bcp, which unfortunately for me means long, anovulatory cycles.

Most drs won't order testing until you've been ttc at least one year (6 months if you're over 35), but you can certainly call your dr and express your concern. Have you had a preconception checkup? It's important to keep your dr in the loop, express some of your concerns, and he/she can be in tune with where you're at and might be more likely to expedite testing if needed.

I think temping is a great idea, and the only way to know for sure that you did in fact O. I learned so much about what was (or wasn't) happening with my body. I like having my cycle history on paper, and being armed with that info whenever I go talk to doc.

I hope this cycle doesn't last too long, and that you can get a super easy BFP!
