I just need to ramble about my current "Are you f***ing kidding me!?" feeling. In the last 2 months, my two very best friends announced they were expecting (one of them found out while I was actually at her house). Then, three weeks ago at a family party, my DH's cousin announced she, too, is expecting. I would have been fine had not been for the 4 or 5 "oh no, poor Ellen:smileysad:" stares that came my way. Don't feel bad about not wanting to attend the party. We're all allowed to feel grumpy and anti social from time to time.
So sorry hun! I have had my share of the "oh no poor Shana" looks too. And comments, and questions, and secret announcements.
Here's some words of advice. Go to this little dinner with your cousin, IF that is the announcement she is wanting to make, still attend the party anyways. Showing up shows people that pregnancy announcements do not effect you. In all reality I know they do! Believe me, I've been through so many family/friend pregnancy announcements. One
