Hi, Sara, it took us 4 months for VR baby #1 (Andrew) who was stillborn at 38 weeks, and then 4 months of trying for VR/Rainbow baby June. . . four months seems to be our "lucky" month.
GL and KUP.
Thanks for your response GL. sorry about your loss. Did the Dr. Say why your son was stillborn? Was the VR have anything to do with it?
It took us 14 months from the VR date, but we didn't start TTC right away.
Our son's death had nothing to do with the VR.
Thanks. I hope I concieve soon too. We went for an SA today and I totally didn't know that you should abstinate from sex for at least 2 days before you go in to get a good count. We tried last night, but the nurse said, they should still be able to determine fertility from the sample. It just wont be with the right count. Depending on the results we might have to re-do this.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that the results are positive and that I concieve soon, so we don't have to worry about this.
We will find out the results on Friday!
FX for high numbers!
So, the lab called me today and unfortunately, there was bad news. DH had NO sperm present in his Semen ;-(! The lab technicion told me that eventhough we didn't follow the standard abstinate time period, he was expecting to see at least some sperm there, but he saw nothing!
I don't know what has happened, but it looks like sometime between when we concieved and now, the reversal failed. I am devastated. I have made an appointment to go and talk to the Dr. Next week to see what our options are. It looks like we might have to re-do the reversal.
Wish me luck. I hope I don't have to say my dreams of having another child good by.
Sara, I know of two women that used to be on here a lot who's DHs had 2 VRs.
It took us 10 months post VR to conceive, but that pg ended in a m/c at 8 weeks.
