Hi Sara! I don't mind the questions at all about being a donor. I love helping people understand the process. I think it's all pretty similar but this is what my clinic has had me do...

You have to undergo a full cycle of fertility treatments just as if you were having the eggs implanted back into you, minus the PIO shots. You'll start 2 months before retrieval on a birth control pill to regulate your cycle. When your period comes you go in for blood work and a sono, then they will start you on the daily Lupron injections about a month out. You'll go once or twice a week to monitor your estrogen levels. About 12 days prior to retrieval you start the stimulating drugs which for me are Bravelle and Menopur.

Hello and Welcome! That is so awesome of you to donate your eggs like that ! What an awesome gift you are giving!

Congrats on the decision to do the VR. We used Dr Roeder in New Braunfuels TX. He works in the same office as Dr Leverett. He was wonderful! I have only wonderful things to say about him! I have heard great things about Dr Wilson too. So go with your gut. I think all 3 drs have a great success rate and are in the same range $ money wise.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. It is a scarey time trying to decide about the VR. But I assure you it is so worth it when you see the + preg test! :) Good Luck! Keep us posted!
