Tubal reversal ?

Hello everyone! Im a newbie here and have my TR surgery scheduled for April.

Have 2 wonderful child DS 12 and DD8. Recently remarried and DH has no children and we would really like to try.

I am very excited, nervous and scared. I would love to hear from others who have or those going through this journey.

I know that we have a long bumpy road ahead even after the surgery. A couple question I have.

1) Has only one used Dr Morice from Louisiana?

2) How long did you have to wait to start trying after surgery?

3) What advice would those of you who have had the surgery give to better prepare for surgery such as items to pack etc?

Thank you all and praying that we all have that special miracle baby

Welcome to the board, bbruns2829! I'm sure other members will be along to share their experiences soon. My SIL had a TR several years back. I don't think she had to wait very long before TTC. I believe it was within a couple of months, it would really be up to your doctor.

As far as the hospital, make sure you bring stuff along to keep you comfortable, like a robe, warm socks, laptop or tablet, etc. Keep us posted on your surgery, do you have a date scheduled yet?

Welcome to the board! I had a TR back in May 2010. My doctor said to wait 1 cycle and then I could start TTC. We waited 3 because my husband was in Iraq at the time.

I went through a military doctor and had an open procedure. Many doctor's do a laproscopic procedure now, so the recovery depends on which type of procedure you have done. Find out how long you will be staying in the hospital so you can plan accordingly. Because I had an open procedure under general anesthesia, I had to stay in the hospital overnight. I took an iPod with me to have something to listen to and a book to read. I didn't take much else though because I didn't want to have to carry a lot after the surgery since I was alone for it.

I hope your TR goes well and you are TTC soon!
