Okay, as I sit here on CD 23 with killer back pain, I just need to rant. This is my third AF since giving birth. I really should take some Aleve, but I'm in denial that it really is AF since it's *CD23*!?!? Some on, this is entirely unfair. And last cycle was the same. And I'm O'ing on, like CD 18. So much for using FAM since I totally don't trust my body right now. And I can't temp because I don't ever get 3 consecutive hours of sleep at the same time of day these days.

At least they've been really light so far. But really, if AF has to be back, can't it at least be back to *normal*? This totally sucks.

Lorien - I am so sorry! 23 days is awful....I can't believe that...I hope it goes back to normal soon for you!

Boo Lorien. That stinks! I dealt with 19 day cycles in college (but kind of didn't mind them too much since they were lighter and I had less cramps). But still, seeing AF every 3 weeks is not that cool.

I bet once you stop breastfeeding your cycles will go back to how they used to be - BFing still has a huge influence on hormone levels even once AF returns. And I hope they go back to normalize sooner than that (or at least maybe Patrick will start STTN so you can temp)

that sucks. if it makes you feel better, if my last cycle TTC hadn't ended in a BFP, it would have ended with AF at CD24. but that was kind of a fluke i think.

hopefully they'll even out a little better soon.

Yuck, that sucks. I hope Brita's right that things will go back to your previous normal after BFing... though that could still be a while, so really, I hope this doesn't continue!!?? Weirdness. I don't get it, but yeah, doesn't give you much faith in using FAM right now... so vent away! :(

I'm sorry:( Around 9 months PP was when my cycles starting to break through the POPs and I was getting my period every 2 weeks:( I think it's normal for our bodies to go through another set of hormone changes at 9 mo. PP. I remember is happening to a lot of the girls in my PG.

Lorien- My situation is pretty different I guess, but I can totally commiserate. Since getting AF back I've had 37, 36, 29, and 31 day cycles. Definitely can't use FAM with that sort of cycle predictability. This month I finally started charting (James is STTN now) hoping to pinpoint O so I could predict AF, and she shows up 4 days earlier that I expected, argh!! That really ruined my day today. Hopefully it will even out soon for you...
