So I remember Lorien saying a while ago that she had some EWCM, and I was wondering if that ever came to anything??
I had some EWCM the other day, and I'm wondering if AF is on her way back or if it's just normal cm during bfing.
For BTDT's when did you get AF after having a baby? Were you Bfing? Did anything change that could have caused AF to come back when it did?
I'm just trying to prepare my self for what to expect...

Hi! No AF here yet. I had another bout of EWCM, but I haven't kept track of when they were.
I also have just about zero sex drive. I swear it's gone down even more over the past three months :P I'd be curious to know if people's sex drives come back when AF does if they're still breastfeeding, or does it still take a while after that?
Thank you for the sig Mary
I was EPing and I think AF came back when Ry was 7 or 8 months old (it's so weird that I can't remember even though it wasn't that long ago!)
I think I've had 3 AFs so far, but they've all been very light and only lasted a couple of days. I just started having EWCM this cycle, though, so I'm not really sure what's going on, haha.

I'll have to dig out my copy of TCOYF and have a look. The times I get EWCM or creamy CM are pretty random, and as I've no periods I didn't think I could temp/use FAM yet. It's just so weird at the moment; I don't feel I'm completely safe from BF anymore as Teddy's now 6 months (even though he still feeds every 3 hours during daytime).
I was going to start the normal BC pill before we TTC #2, but at this rate I might only be on it for half a year, ao I'll have to see!
Thanks Katie for my lovely siggy!
Anna, We're using abstinence combined with luck & prayer when the abstinence doesn't work ;) I was actually prescribed the mini-pill but couldn't remember to take it and wasn't completely comfortable using it. Honestly I feel very confident with the frequency that I Barrett is nursing that I should be okay until at least we start solids or he starts sleeping longer.
TCOYF lists specific criteria in order for breastfeeding to be sufficient birth control (no AF, baby <6 months, nursing every 4 hrs during the day, etc) Once those criteria are no longer met you can use fertility awareness with specific anovulatory rules but with that method any time you have a change in cm you have to consider yourself fertile. Sorry I haven't given the best explanation, but that's the general idea - I'll be happy to tell you more if you're interested.
I will probably just keep an eye out for ewcm but I don't think I'll temp until AF starts, if then. I really don't think I'll go back on hormonal birth control before we start trying (or at least not preventing) for #2.
Another question - what is everyone doing for contraception? I've been offered a micropill by my GP, but reading the leaflet it says that some of the progestogen passes through the milk to the baby, and also it affects your fertility negatively (you have to wait a while when you come off it for your fertility to return). Both of which turned me off so we're just using condoms, which neither of us really likes. But I guess there's no other way, as without proper cycles you can't determine when contraception is needed and when it isn't...
Thanks Katie for my lovely siggy!
With Desmond AF returned after 7 and a half/almost 8 months. I did have EWCM before that point in time though. It was perfectly regular after that point, and I was still nursing him. It actually returned about the point in time when he started regularly eating solids once a day.
It still isn't back with Eloise at 5 1/2 months. I am hoping it won't appear for a couple more months, especially since I am tandem nursing at the moment, but I figure it will likely be back by Thanksgiving. I have had some EWCM already as well. She is still exclusively nursing, but will be starting solids next month though likely not too often.
