Kiddos: Fletcher (almost 6), Jonah (3), Charlotte (5 weeks)
Tell us something each kid is up to:
Alyssa - I keep forgetting to send my sympathies on the loss of your grandmother. Was she the one you visited on the road trip with Evan?
Ruby - That is so cool that Maxim understands French now. DH has been lax on speaking Turkish to Selin and today he used it at dinner and she just looked at him like he had two heads, lol. I wish she had the opportunity to learn French as well but since I never learned it properly, she'll only hear it when we visit family in Montreal each year. Btw, do you and your DH speak French or English to one another?
Cassie - Hope the time passes quickly for you and your DH. Do you plan to use Skype so he can see Simon in between visits? GL on Monday! You're doing animal control, right? Will you have a regular schedule or is it an on-call type of thing?
Liz - GL tomorrow! Post back with the results either way!
Morgan - Does Halley live with you guys or her mom? How does she pronounce her name btw, like Hal-ee or Hay-lee? Oh and love your new siggy! I can't believe how much hair Maximilian has!
Andi - So glad to hear BFing is going better! Great job, mama! Have you been able to find a BFing multiples group? Hopefully there's one near you.
Ella - GL with the surprise party! 40 years is quite an accomplishment! Too cute about Eliza repeating everything. Btw, how many years of school do you have left?
Ash - I can't believe it's only been in the 60's where you live! Is that common for your area? I remember going to Europe during the month of May and it was quite warm there so I am surprised to hear Germany is so cold. I went to Munich and St. Goar and it was very pleasant at that time of year.
Sarah & Erica - Happy 10th wedding anniversary! Next year is my and DH's 10th dating anniversary. :-)
AFM - Thanks for all the toddler activity suggestions. I might give stickers a try but would prefer to avoid anything too messy. The problem is that her attention span is super short (just like my DH, lol) so something usually only occupies her for 5-10 min if that. She has absolutely NO interest in the tv, which is good I guess, so I can't rely on cartoons or a movie to buy me some time. I do let her play in certain kitchen cabinets and drawers and basically let her do whatever she wants when I'm desperate for time as long as she's not harming herself or getting into important documents, etc., but like Ash said
Ruby- I second the French. I would love for David to learn a second language, but since I don't know one it probably won't happen. I would like him to learn Spanish since there is a big Hispanic community here. I took French in high school but don't remember a whole lot. I was fluent after I came back from a 2 week trip there with my French class but quickly forgot it. I also took some Spanish classes when we lived in Texas but I didn't us it much either. I am hoping I can get him to learn another language at some point. I would like him to learn it sooner than later but probably won't happen until he's in school. Although I think now the schools teach it earlier. When I was in school they didn't do it until high school which is probably why I don't know much now.
Today has been an interesting day. The sitter texts me this morning she was up sick all last night. So we didn't have the money for our back up as she's quite pricey. i'm looking for a new backup but thought I had time as she's going out of town Labor Day weekend. So, I decided to watch David like I always do. Anyway..I had to restart my computer at work for some updates and it is mandatory you restart. Well, after I restarted, the VPN went down. So, I had to either go into work or take the rest of the day off. My DH can't come home he's swamped at work so I took the day off. Lucikily, I had the time to take off.
David Nicholas 12/5/09Expecting a GIRL 3/23/13
Christine- the brands we have are not available in the US, but good luck finding some good soap for her. I use a special prescription shampoo since Fede has AD, and it's worked wonders!
Grace- I'm so sorry you are feeling so bad. I really do, because I am too!! I've got some early spring cold/sore throat. DH has it too, but last night I was this close to tears thinking aout how nauseous I felt, how much my throat hurt and I couldn't even take a pill because of being pregnant!!!
Andy. Definitely there aobut strangers touching my kid! I still have a hard time with that, perhaps not the feet, but if they touch his hands or face I have to bite my tongue not to say anything. y the way, I saw the picture before reading the post, and I though "are they identical?"... so there you go!
Ella and the others- I wish I could leave fede with grandparents more. They would be more than happy, but I'm so nervous!! The few times I've left him, and it's only been for a few hours, I'm constantly worrying about him. Soecially if it is at my parents. My dad is Fede's favorite, because he is great at entertaining him, but also he isn't so good with safety measures. Anyway, at some point I will have to grow out of it and start giving the poor kid some space! LOL!
AFM- I thought I posted aout this a couple of days ago, but apparently it got lost in cyberspace.
We are all doing fine. I'm extremely queasy, and now with some sort of cold, so not so happy, but other than that, we are all well.
I'm not so happy about a work situation, but I'm tired and I need to find the correct words in english to explain it, so I think I'll post aout it in the next post.
Ash- Lucky no heat wave.
