ELLA- I'm so sorry about what they did to you in the assistanship... I would be so mad!!!!! I can't tell you to quit or not, it is up to you. All I can say is that you should focus on the plans you have for yourself and your family. If the Phd is wha tyou really want, then, try to power through it. But if along the way, you've lost enthusiasm and you really can't remember why you are there... then please leave!!!

ERICA- How are things going with Jonah??

CHRISTINE- Fede is down to only one nap. Keep in mind that in our culture, we wake up later and go to bed later. So, Fede wakes up around 9:00, we play and do watever we feel like, have lunch at 1:00, and he is down for hte nap at 13:30 or 14:00. I let him sleep 2 or 3 hours. So, by the time it's 22:00 he is nicvely tired and (usually) goes to bed easily.

AFM-Thanks to all for the comments on the craptastic week. LOL!!! To answer some of your questions:

Phone- I suppose technically we could have tracked it. But cellphone theft is so common in here that i doubt the police would pay any attention. I did get another phone by now, but what bothers me the most is that I lost the entire contact list.

Debt- Luckily this month DH got a bonus at work, so we could pay it. $$$ will be tight the rest of the month, but at least I'm clean with them now. I'm still figuring how to get more jobs so I can make more per month.

Hair- Still ugly, wavy and unruly. My sister donated me her old hair straightner so at least I can look decent whe I go out. LOL!!!!!

Fight- We are better now. We've talked about it some more, and we've even reached the point to make a little joke about it. We do know it was serious, and it shouldn't happen again, tough.

Thyroid- I will be going to an endocrinologyst soon, so this gets all sorted. In the meantime, I think my body is getting rid of it, because my heartrate feels more normal. Altough, perhaps the huge fight might be a sign that my emotions are still a little nuts.

Katie - Thanks for the insurance info! I know our state has a program for uninsured kids, but not sure about PG mamas. We actually looked into it before we bought our private policy but because we make too much, it was going to be just as expensive for Selin as our private family plan. I'll double check it again though.

Adrienne - FYI, I just sent you a PM. Wanted your thoughts on something related to natural medicine. :-)

Ella and Christine- naps at our house rarely happen before 4 PM and William still goes to bed at 7:30 as long as he is awake before 6:30. If we are out and in the car, William will sometimes nap earlier and for 45 min to an hr. He rarely skips the 4PM nap. We do put him down quite awake most nights and after 10 mins or so of talking in his crib he is out for the night until 6AM. I don't what I will do if the next one is time sensitive.

Thanks to everyone who asked about Jonah. Both boys are still stuggling some, but I have seen bright spots in our days. I really took the advice to create more one-on-one time seriously. Sometimes we only get a few minutes, but it helps. In the evenings, I've been taking Charlotte out on the porch, and I started asking Jonah to come along with me. We just sit there and talk, and in those couple of minutes, I can see my old Jonah. Maybe it does me more good than him, but either way, we both seem calmer and happier after our little talks.

DH pointed out--and I think he's right--that Fletcher is being really rough and bossy with Jonah lately, and Jonah is showing that behavior toward Charlotte. We're talking to Fletcher about teaching Jonah how to be a good big brother.

I know they are both still adjusting, but this move is definitely the hardest parenting hurtle we've faced so far. Thanks for all of your support.

Girls, I have two questions for you:

1st- Alyssa's post got me thinking about how much a kid of Fede's age should be eating. I think (from reading your answers) that he is eating to little. I'll try to sum up his daily

Mari- That sounds like quite a bit of milk to me. I think I would try to cut back a bit as now at his age milk shouldn't be his main source of nutrition. Other then that it all sounds good.

Teddy will now eat a really good amount for example a breakfast for him is often about 1-2 scrambled eggs, some fruit, and a piece of toast, BUT only if I make sure to try to only offer him food at meal times and two snacks. Letting him graze all the time led him to eat really poorly and be quite picky but it doesn't sound like that is the case with Fede.

Plus you know if they look healthy you have to be doing something right:)

Mari, Simon still drinks alot of milk as well. he is hit and miss when it comes to eating. His Ped NP at his 18 month apt said not to worry about it to much as long as he was eating something other then milk. I find it hard to force him cause he isn't really to a point where you can do to much. so when he is eating something well I let him eat it.
