Tell us something each kid is up to: I think Selin is teething because she has been extra crabby and not napping well for the last week. And the fact that she's munching on her hand and drooling a ton are also key signs. She is getting harder to go out with - her ability to sit in one spot or be strapped in are getting shorter and shorter so it is making running errands difficult. She is still being picky about what she wants to eat, which just baffles me because up until the beginning of July, she would eat just about anything. She is fascinated with her baby dolls lately: wants to dress them, feed them, push them in their stroller. She loves to color as well but I have to watch her closely because she likes to bite off the tops of crayons. She is just a busy, busy girl overall.
What are you looking forward to this month?: Selin and I are driving 3 hours next week to another state to visit a good friend of mine and her DS, who is just a month or so younger than Selin. I haven't seen her since before I was PG so I'm really excited for our kids to meet. Also looking forward to hopefully starting a new job so we can get on the road with TTC!
I hate to start off a new thread with sad news, but my heart is just breaking for this family right now. A friend of a good friend of mine just lost her unborn DS this morning. She was due for a repeat c/s in early Oct. and went in for a regular checkup today and the baby had no heartbeat. She is having an emergency c/s right now.
I cannot even imagine how I would handle news like that if it happened to me and it scares me that a loss can happen so late in pgcy. By my calculation, I think she was about 7-1/2 mos. along. So sad. Please keep the family in your prayers. :-*(
Tell us something each kid is up to: David is talking more and more. I am finally being able to understand more of what he is saying than what he isn't.
Sandy - What a nice gift from DH! Have fun at the game!
Cassie - When will you see DH next? Your posts sound so much more happier and relaxed. I'm sure it's so nice to spend more time with your family as well. At least you won't be totally alone there. How old is your niece now?
Tell us something each kid is up to: William is such a sponge. He just repeats everything you ask him to say and remembers it all. To the best of his ability he was telling me that Gramma, Papa, Uncle Erik and Maya (dog) live together. He was just repeating the usual things that Gramma and Papa say to him on the phone and he was asking for Uncle Erik. Never under estimate little minds :)
What are you looking forward to this month?: Not going back to teaching!!
Tell us something each kid is up to: Evan is army crawling like a champ, but has yet to figure out how to get up on his hands and knees. He's been making all sorts of new noises and faces recently. I think he's picking these things up from his daycare friends :)
What are you looking forward to this month?: Well, we just had our long weekend, which was really nice. Otherwise, just enjoying the last month of summer. SIL is probably coming for a visit on the Labour Day weekend, which will be awesome because Evan will meet his cousin for the first time.
Tell us something each kid is up to: Cruising around, taking a few unsupported steps. Getting into everything, busy. Teething his molars, loves peek a boo, waves bye bye, and is starting to understand French more and more. For example he rarely listens to me say Come Here but totally understands and follows Viens Ici!
What are you looking forward to this month?:Not much really, just the lazy days of summer.
