Thanks for starting this thread!

I can't believe Jensen is going to be 7 months old in a week. This last month went by so fast it's unbelievable.

My cycle is so annoying right now. I am CD 19 and got a temp dip and spotting!! Like seriously? I knew my cycle after the mc would be wacky but right after the miscarriage I got AF 2 weeks later, and now my cycle length is only 19 days. I guess it is good it is lengthening but I just want it back to normal already!

Sorry I haven't been around. Well I have been but not posting as much as I normally do. I've been super busy at work and now I am working 9 hour days M-Th and then 4 hours on Friday. It will be nice to have most of Friday off though.

Anyway David is sort of crawling. he tries to crawl and then he gets frustrated and gives up. I think he'll be crawling for sure in a few weeks. I will be surprised if he doesn't.

So dh and I have been talking about #2 I know my son is barely 8 mos old and we're talking about it already but I am going to be 35 in September so I feel my clock ticking. We're going to start trying in December 2011 once David turns 2. That way #2 will come along either shortly before or after he turns 3. I don't want 2 in diapers and don't want them any closer together than that. My brother was born 3 months before I turned 3 so I think it's a great age gap. Hopefully we will have the baby shortly after I turn 37 and we will be done at that point. We always wanted 2 since we come from 2 parent families. Plus, we can't afford to send more than 2 to Catholic school. The high school here is $10,000 a year! But we'll find some way to afford it I'm sure.

Thanks for the wonderful siggie Heather

Amy, isn't it crazy how fast this has gone? What happened to our EC? LoL I hope your cycles get back to normal soon. How is the transition going for moving and all?

Sandy, how exciting to have a date semi set for number 2. DH and I have a tentative date set. We will see what happens when it gets closer to. 10,000 for high school. Wow

Christine, I hope today went better then you antisipated!

AF Mr Simon, We have a mover! He isn't crawling but we roll all over and scoot and pull ourself all over the floor. He is working on sitting and he does pretty well. We are a veggie eating machine. So far we have carrots, green beans, peas, potatoes, sweet taters, peas, broccoli, cauliflower and then sweet taters with spinich (popeye taters.) We have also had apples and just starting on pears. I also made a peice of meat for him to try and blend up for him to sample probably over the weekend while I'm home for a few days.

Wow, WTG Simon! Our WTTG babies are starting to get mobile!!

Eliza started crawling this weekend - it's official! She really knows what she's doing now and can get across the room easily. We're in trouble now! She's still slow, but I know she'll pick up speed with each day she practices. It's so darn cute, and I'm such a proud mama. I almost cried when she crawled across the kitchen to get to me!

Christine - how did your first day go? I hope it wasn't too bad. I was thinking of you today!

We've been quiet around here lately. Where did everyone go?? It's like we're all busy with something else these days... hahaha. ;)

Hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe it's August. That's just insane!

TTFN!

Amy - Hope your cycles straighten out soon and the move is going well! I can't believe Jensen is almost 7 months either!

Ella - WTG Eliza on crawling! I have a feeling Selin may be one of those babies who skips crawling and goes right to walking. She is rolling now, but not much of a scooter, and still loves to stand and when DH was holding on the carpet last night she was trying to take steps!

Cassie - That is great that Simon is such a great eater. We sort of started solids tonight. I gave Selin half a banana to hold and she loved nibbling on it. Love your new siggy!

Sandy - I'm jealous that you already have a TTC #2 date picked out. I'm afraid to have that convo with DH right now with everything we have going on but I'm hoping by next summer at the latest we'll be on the TTC journey again.

AFM - Thanks everyone for thinking of me today. Overall I did better than expected but not my poor baby. She basically starved herself all day and now my parents are blaming me for it. I posted the full story in my thread about 'My Own D-Day' so I won't take up space here. Ugh, I just hope this is a very temporary arrangement because I am so exhausted with my commute and Selin's feeding issues.

Christine- Hugs! Babies hate change and need time to adjust, I am sure in a week it will be a completely different story. Also have you thought about introducing veggie purees? Theo needed about 1-2 weeks to get the hang of it and now he can eat almost a whole jar of a vegetable plus potato (that is all it is just vegetable, potato, rapeseed oil-I believe that is canola in the States). Which really does fill him up. We also do dinkel/hirse/or reis (spelt, sorghum,or rice) porridge with pear or apple and milk at night.

But either way I am sure Selin will get the hang of it, or just start drinking out of a cup more often:)

Sandy: Congrats on figuring out a TTC date. We also just recently decided that we will definitely have 3, but haven't set a date for TTC number 2. I think we will probably start next fall.

Ella: Congrats on Eliza crawling!! That is great news, how exciting!

Amy: I hope your cycle gets better soon.

Cassie: Way to introduce so many veggies to Simon, I bet he is really enjoying the variety!

AFM: We are doing SO good. Everything is so much easier when you have a baby that sleeps longer stretches then 90 minutes. I mean honestly I don't even know how I got through the first 3 1/2 months! Teddy is now sleeping at least 1 5-7 hour stretch every night and it is great! Thankfully he often does his longest stretch starting from around midnight when I go to bed, which I really appreciate! As it is no problem to feed him once or twice between 7pm and midnight when I am up anyway. He also now wakes up in the morning and is always just talking to himself and cooing when I get him out of his bed at around 7:15. He takes 2-3 naps and his first nap is normally 2-3 hours! I feel like we have the perfect baby now LOL.

He also LOVES solids and got the hang of it almost right away. He eats potatoes and vegetables, and today we are introducing a meat to it. We also do porridge with a fruit at night sometimes. I am not really worrying about allergies but we are trying to stay gluten free until 10 months.

Thomas is definitely on board for having three which I think is great! But we won't be TTC until at least late summer or fall of 2011.

Jensen just got his first tooth in tonight!! I was exhausted and he was sleepy at 8 so I did his bedtime routine an hour early thinking he would just sleep. HA. He screamed for an HOUR! Finally I laid him in bed with him instead of comforting him or holding him, and he grabbed my hand and pulled it to his mouth and I felt his little tooth lol. He was like uh duh mom!! So got him some tylenol, went outside for some fresh air, gave him another bottle, and he went to sleep with minimal fussing at 10:30pm. Now I am no longer tired. That's how it works right?

Being away from Rob is hard, but he's on top of things down there and I am not really worried. I am hoping he gets a job this week, but his parents are keeping him in check so I know he isn't slacking off or trying to take a little vacation. My mom offered to pay our first and last months rent if we ended up moving here, and she told me that she wants to sit down with my dad if Rob gets things together so we can move out there, and figure out the best way to help us so the transition is not so hard. She said she is perfectly willing to help so long as we help ourselves first. And that is perfectly fine with me.

Oh and in TTC news, Rob has asked if we can start trying when we are moved into the new place (wherever that may be). I am not sure yet as I don't want to TTC in November and December is just one month sooner then the earliest I wanted to TTC anyway so we shall see what happens.

Well I guess I spoke too soon. Dh is wondering how we are going to afford #2. He said we can barely afford our son and we're broke trying to afford him. It's just I don't want to wait too long. I am willing to wait maybe a few months after he turns 2 but no longer than 2 1/2. First I don't want them to be too far apart and secondly my age. I am hoping to be done by 37 or 38 at the very latest. Anyway should I just drop it for now and then mention it in maybe 6 mos to a year? He seemed OK with it but after reading about some of the other dh's on here I shouldn't be surprised that he changed his mind. I mean it's not like we're TTC and it's a year from this coming December. So I am going to say we're going to TTC in December and see what happens. A lot can happen in that time. I just guess I wanted to have a date set so I had a peace of mind that we are going really do it and not what happened before. We had so many fights/arguments before TTC our son. I wanted him sooner and he wanted to wait longer. I am glad we waited longer in the end and it was so worth it. I think once we pay some of our bills off it will help and he'll feel better about the whole thing. I wish men could make up their minds when it comes to this. Those of you who your dh didn't do this you are so lucky. I had baby fever for almost 2 years before my dh agreed.

Christine, I'm glad that your first day back went well for you. Give Selin time she will get it all figured out. I'm sorry your parents are pressing you on things. I have yet to try Simon on bananas. They don't like me (as in the cut off my airway) so I'm a little scared to try them on him.

Ash, what kind of meat and how are you preparing it for Theo? I was just considering it for Simon to go with his veggies. I do have a porkchop, mushroom and onion meal blended up in the freezer that was left overs one night from DH and I. I also have
