Hey ladies I thought I would join in. I read the last 10 posts or so but going to just try to keep up in the September chat ;)

Things are going well for us. Gabby is 2 weeks old today. I can't believe that she is already 2 weeks old. When we first brought her home and I was struggling with the BF I didn't think I could make it 2 weeks and here we are. She has her days where she wants to eat every hour but mostly we have keepingthkse to the days which I don't mind. The last couple of nights she has been doing well and giving me 2 1/2 hours or so between feedings. The BF is going much better and we are getting the hang of it. I going to start pumping a few times after feedings to freeze for when I go back to work.

Our pup is doing really well with her and we have been just loving the time. It's been prett warm outside(90+ degrees) so we haven't been going on a lot of walks or anything we are headed to the lake this week/weekend sometime so that will be fun.

I will try to keep up but no promises ;) hope everyone is doing well and I can't believe I am postin in this section.

Aww thanks! They actually seemed ok with it. I was worried they'd be mad and told Rob to be on his best behavior but they actually were happy he was getting a better job in the economy.

It's fun, especially when he crawls to me. Just melts my heart. But definitely has me thinking about baby proofing and the carpet has never been cleaner since he won't stay on the blanket now so we vacuum over and over and over lol.

Amy - HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!! Wow, that is fantastic about Rob's second job offer! How does his current employer feel about him leaving so soon? Can't believe Jensen is on the move! I keep waiting for Selin to start scooting.

Cara - Sounds like all three girls are doing really well! Glad things are getting easier for you now. :-)

Sandy - GL with AF! Hope you get the answer you want! I haven't gotten AF yet either (not that I'm complaining!)

Elyse - Great to hear from you! Sounds like William is one of those early starters! I can't imagine Selin full on walking in just 3 months.

Since we're talking about BC...I've been wondering, how harmful is it if you're on the mini-pill and PG but don't know it? I've been feeling weird twinges here and there but no nausea or anything to make me really think I'm PG but I haven't gotten around to buying a HPT. Some days I panic "what if I'm PG and I'm still taking BC?"

AFM - Sorry for being MIA. Things have been a little crazy with my job transition. My last day at my FT job was Friday and then DH was out of town all weekend so I had Selin by myself while also picking up some last-minute dog sitting. She did great though - I put her in the Ergo on by back and she fell asleep on most of the walks. She's not at all scared of dogs either, even when they bark. Today was my first full day on my route and it went pretty well. It is so different from anything I have ever done before but so far I love it! My MIL watched Selin on Sat. while I was at a class for work and she watched her today while I was at work and so far she's doing well.

Today was Selin's 6 mo. checkup. She weighs 16lbs 8oz and is in the 95 percentile for height (I think I got that right - I always get confused with the percentiles) so it looks like she's going to be tall like her daddy. DH's brother's DD is super tall for her age too (she's only 2 but looks like she's 4!) so Selin might follow suit. Still no crawling yet but she is a rolling machine. Today she had watermelon and carrots for the first time. She really enjoyed the watermelon. :-) Now that I'll be home more, I can really dedicate more time to giving her solids. She hated rice cereal and isn't a big fan of jar food so all the more reason to proceed with BLW.

Have a great week everyone!

Brita and Sarah, thanks for the reassurance! I suppose I still have some months before I start worrying.

Thanks for the input. I know that is how regular BC works since I was on it before we had our son for 10+ years however it still made me nervous that I hadn't gotten AF after CD 28. I know people can get pregnant on the pill even if taken correctly and I am not ready for another one just yet.

Mari - I got AF back right before Barrett's first birthday. Enjoy your time without AF!

Sandy -

The mini-pill and regular bc pills are actually pretty different in how they work. With the mini-pill you are constantly taking the same level of progesterone, and it prevents pregnancy by making fertilization and implantation harder. If you had AF while on the mini-pill, then you were probably ovulating. The fact that you always got AF in the middle of a pack is just a coincidence, I think. The level of hormone you take on the mini-pill is constant every day so it wouldn't actually control your cycle at all.

Regular bc pills usually work by preventing ovulation (and regulate when you get AF). Often the hormones are strong enough to prevent bleeding for as long as you take them - which is why pills like Seasonal (i think that's the name) allow you to go three months without seeing AF - you just don't take sugar pills for three months! You should not have bleeding until you are on the sugar pill no matter what your cycles were like before. So if I read your post right and you just started regular bc pills last week, you have no reason to worry! If you don't get AF when you are on the sugar pills, you probably ought to poas again and call your doctor.

I hope I got all the explanations right! I've taught anatomy before but in a state where we were limited to "abstinence only" sex ed!

Thanks for the info. I guess I was one of the unlucky ones who got AF while I was still breastfeeding. I got my 1st AF in April and didn't stop breastfeeding until mid July.

Awww it goes so fast doesn't it?

Won't be around much today because it's my birthday and I am going to my mom's for dinner with the family. I just have to say knowing that I am going to be TTC in 2 months is killing me! I feel like my baby fever got WORSE now that I know it is so close! Not to mention several of my friends are TTC/newly pregnant with #2 so we're all in the same boat and all we ever talk about is being pregnant together. I really hope we get to be :)

Sandy- I didn't get AF back until I was completely done BF when William was 8 months. Then I went on the reg BC pill and I had a very long cycle between mini pill and reg pill. It is very possible.

AFM- I guess it's time for an update. I don't know when the last time I posted was (beginning of the month maybe). School is about to start again and so I go back to working two jobs and juggling William, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. William started back at the sitters last week. He did great; it was as if he never left. No separation anxiety from him or myself- YAY!!

William was 10 months this past Monday and is full out walking (started taking several unassisted steps just after his 9 mon bday). He doesn't even resort to crawling when he topples over. He just goes right back to standing and walks away. William also would much rather eat table food than baby food and eats with us at meals. So much easier to share what we're eating and he eats everything.
