How exciting! What a cute video. Delainey scooted around like that for months before she finally started crawling the regular way, she got really fast too! So funny.

Sorry I haven't been around. Things have been busy. I am working OT today so I don't have a ton of time to write but here is my little dilemna.

This is my first month on the regular pill since I stopped the mini pill after breastfeeding. I am on CD 28 and still no AF yet. I took a test just for a piece of mind and it was negative. I called the OB and she said to wait a few weeks and if still nothing test again and then if still neg call to come in.

I really don't think I am pregnant. I know it is possible but I just don't have that "feeling" like I did with my son. I could be wrong. I told my dh and he said if I am we will cross that bridge when we come to it. I really hope I am not as I am not ready for another one yet but whatever happens it does. I take it everyday religiously and I took the mini at the same time every day. I did have one cycle that was 44 days after the 1st month that I got AF I skipped the 2nd month with no AF and I know your cycles can be a mess for awhile after getting them back. I have had AF since April.

The only thing was I started taking the mini about 6wks PP and then my AF came mid cycle. So my cycles were kind of messed up where I would get AF mid cycle and I wonder if that has something to do with that the fact I didn't get AF yet. Maybe I will get AF at the end of this cycle when I go to my sugar pills. I am starting week 2 of regular BC tomorrow. Since the mini's don't have sugar pills that could be a possibility.

Amy- I hope your house is totally baby proofed as you will have your hands full. I wanted David to crawl and now I am wondering why I did. He is always going for the TV and the entertainment center and not sure how to stop him. Actually we went on a playdate and there was a 11 mo old there and she isn't crawling but my son is and now he's pulling himself up to stand too. He was standing in his crib the other day and today he pulled himself up on the TV stand this morning.

Anyway I hope all of you have a good weekend as I have to get back to work.

Well Sandy, I hope things resolve for the best.
If it makes you feel any better, I STILL didn't get AF back!!! I wonder if I should be worried....

Mari if you are still breastfeeding it is completely normal not to get AF back for quite a long time. I got it back around 7 months with Desmond and 8 months with Eloise, but I know people who didn't get it back till 12+ months or even longer.

Sandy your cycles are probably just messed up still. I won't worry too much about it yet.

Sandy- I didn't get AF back until I was completely done BF when William was 8 months. Then I went on the reg BC pill and I had a very long cycle between mini pill and reg pill. It is very possible.

AFM- I guess it's time for an update. I don't know when the last time I posted was (beginning of the month maybe). School is about to start again and so I go back to working two jobs and juggling William, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. William started back at the sitters last week. He did great; it was as if he never left. No separation anxiety from him or myself- YAY!!

William was 10 months this past Monday and is full out walking (started taking several unassisted steps just after his 9 mon bday). He doesn't even resort to crawling when he topples over. He just goes right back to standing and walks away. William also would much rather eat table food than baby food and eats with us at meals. So much easier to share what we're eating and he eats everything.

Awww it goes so fast doesn't it?

Won't be around much today because it's my birthday and I am going to my mom's for dinner with the family. I just have to say knowing that I am going to be TTC in 2 months is killing me! I feel like my baby fever got WORSE now that I know it is so close! Not to mention several of my friends are TTC/newly pregnant with #2 so we're all in the same boat and all we ever talk about is being pregnant together. I really hope we get to be :)

Thanks for the info. I guess I was one of the unlucky ones who got AF while I was still breastfeeding. I got my 1st AF in April and didn't stop breastfeeding until mid July.

Sandy -

The mini-pill and regular bc pills are actually pretty different in how they work. With the mini-pill you are constantly taking the same level of progesterone, and it prevents pregnancy by making fertilization and implantation harder. If you had AF while on the mini-pill, then you were probably ovulating. The fact that you always got AF in the middle of a pack is just a coincidence, I think. The level of hormone you take on the mini-pill is constant every day so it wouldn't actually control your cycle at all.

Regular bc pills usually work by preventing ovulation (and regulate when you get AF). Often the hormones are strong enough to prevent bleeding for as long as you take them - which is why pills like Seasonal (i think that's the name) allow you to go three months without seeing AF - you just don't take sugar pills for three months! You should not have bleeding until you are on the sugar pill no matter what your cycles were like before. So if I read your post right and you just started regular bc pills last week, you have no reason to worry! If you don't get AF when you are on the sugar pills, you probably ought to poas again and call your doctor.

I hope I got all the explanations right! I've taught anatomy before but in a state where we were limited to "abstinence only" sex ed!

Thanks for the input. I know that is how regular BC works since I was on it before we had our son for 10+ years however it still made me nervous that I hadn't gotten AF after CD 28. I know people can get pregnant on the pill even if taken correctly and I am not ready for another one just yet.
