I love reading everyone's baby updates and seeing the pics!
Ethan is almost 4 months already and we'll be starting solids soon.
Jennifer- She is very cute. you are so lucky to have the grandparents around. I remember our first day home our son was hungry and he wouldn't sleep and screamed all night. we didn't know that and my milk hadn't come in. We got very little sleep and then finally when we got him to sleep we slept. I could have used our parents that is for sure. Both my parents and my dh's live out of town. Mine are 5 hrs away and my dh's are a plane ride away so consider yourself very lucky. We have to get a babysitter whenever we want to go out and it's not cheap.
This will be short but we kind of set a TTC date for #2. It's not carved in stone and we'll see as the time gets closer. We are going to TTC #2 in December 2011 after David turns 2. We were going back and forth if we should do it then or if we should do it a little sooner. I really don't want a summer baby as I don't want to be pregnant during the hot summer (or at least really pregnant) so that is why we decided on that. With our luck our kids will have birthdays a month apart or something. However we did discuss if we don't get pregnant by March we are going to prevent that month as we don't want another December baby. We may in April as well but we'll see. I feel better as I guess I'm a planner and I wanted to plan ahead for #2. Plus my boy is growing up so fast, he won't be a baby much longer :(
We are busy trying to find car seats for David. He's going be growing out his seat soon so we need to find something. It's just the fact we don't have the biggest cars and some of those seats are so big. We have a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire and a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am. I guess Babies R US will let you try them out so we're going to take the Sunfire (the smaller car) and see what fits and then go from there.
My dh's co worker had a baby in June. She was 2 months premature and was born at only 3lb 11oz. Anyway she's home now and we need to give her the gift this weekend. She didn't have much baby stuff. The weekend she gave birth was supposed to be the weekend of her baby shower. She had a crib, car seat and a changing table and that was it. She had preclampsia and then her placenta ruptured and they had to do an emergency c section. She was lucky she was in the hospital on bedrest. I am glad b/c they had been trying since we started trying and it took them quite awhile to get pregnant. I know she wanted the baby really bad.
Well I have to get back to work now so hope all you ladies have a great day. We're going to a pool playdate with some moms after I get off work this afternoon so that should be fun. Hopefully David has a good time.

Expecting baby #2 in June 2013!
Simon had his 6 month appoitment today. We are currently 17lb 10oz and 27 inches long. So we are tall and skinny.
He does have eczema pretty well. The Ped just said that more then anything we have to do our best to control it. We are going to be using hydrocortizone cream twice a day along with the lotion. Hopfully that will help keep it under control. He said that the eczema is a sign that he will probably have allergy and asthma problems. Both DH and I have allergies and I have asthma though I have not had to many problems with it. I just hope he doesn't have major issues with it.
He told us to start on a sippy cup. We are also on floride drops since our water here doesn't have any in it. We are done with vaccinations until a year and don't go back until 9 months.
I took some 6 month shots of him so either check out my FB or the picture thread to see them.

Hi Ash, it's great to hear things are going so well and you and Teddy have fallen into a nice daily routine. I remember 4 months being a turning point for Eliza and our daily routine too, and it seemed to get a bit easier. He is so sweet, and looks a lot like you I think! I love seeing all the new pics you post on FB. I'm so jealous of all the great mom and baby classes you are doing with Teddy! They sound like great fun, and it's probably a great opportunity for you to meet and talk to other moms. We are doing swimming "lessons" with Eliza right now, but DH gets in with her as it's kind of their time together. I wish we had something like the naked baby class here - that one sounded like so much fun! What's better than naked babies?? So cute!
Hope you have/had fun going out! Glad you're getting a chance to go out by yourself - I know those occasions are rare at first (well, they are still rare even at 8 months, lol!).
Teddy is 4 months today and we are doing great!
We have been doing solids for about a week or two and he loves them. He ate almost a full jar of pumpkin today- I couldn't believe it!
We also started sleep training last week and I am so so happy we did. Teddy is doing so much better now- last night he even slept a 6 hour stretch which is more then he has ever slept in his life. He is a lot happier during the day now that he is better rested. Now it is much easier to spend time with him and the days really fly by.
He also is now rolling over from back to stomach but he hasn't figured out how to get back on his back yet.
He loves being in the water and I think he is really going to like baby swim which starts in 2 weeks.
Basically we are just really getting into our groove and having so much fun together. It is really lovely being a family of three and things have finally settled into a real routine. Thomas and I love having our nights back for us again, and I am going out for the second time alone tonight! Woo hoo:)
I hope everyone is doing well!
