Mari - How scary about Julia.  I can totally emphasize, Teddy's head is on the small size (4%) and keeps getting smaller, but he's only being watched for it; I couldn't imagine how I would feel if we had to go for testing because of it, etc.  Many prayers for sweet Julia and you.  Let us know how today's appointment goes.

Happy Birthday Fletcher and Gabby!!!

Christine - The Womanly Art of BFing is one of my favorite go-to nursing books; and not to mention a great quick refernce.  Congrats on the big girl bed.

Mari- I am praying for Julia and I hope you get good news from the pediatrician today.

I'll have to catch up with everyone else later as I don't have much time, but I have a question....

I am EBF and right now Eric is feeding every three hours, occassionally every four at night, but that is pretty rare.  I stopped post-partum bleeding around August 8th, but yesterday when I wiped there was a little blood on the TP.  Could this be AF?  Today it was a little bit on a panty liner, still not heavy, but more like it was for the last two weeks of my post-partum bleeding.  I've always had a very heavy AF, so this is totally new for me.  That and with EBF I thought it wouldn't start quite this early.  Could it be post-partum bleeding returning?

Hi Katja - It's probably not AF quite yet... that is likely just some additional PP bleeding (lochia). It's super common for it to go away and then return a few weeks later. It happened, just like you are describing, to me as well... and then AF didn't actually return until DD's 2nd birthday, almost to the day :smileyhappy:

Mari - any new news yet? Please keep us posted!

Katja - I agree with Ella that it's probably more PP bleeding. Mine stopped and started for a few weeks.

AFM - well, we're going to TTC starting next cycle! Ack! It's funny how we went from "hell no" to a second child to "yes PLEASE" in such a short time. I'm definitely getting bump envy when I see a PG woman, and really want to get a BFP quickly.

Question for you all: I have internet-cheepie tests from last time (bought in early 2010). They have an expiration date, but do they really expire?

Julia is fine!!!!!!!!!!!

We are almost sure! :smileyhappy:

I got the x-ray results yesterday and took them to the Dr. the written report said that all the skull sutures were open and her skull had no signs of abnormalities... Then the Dr. tried to open the cd where the pictures were and... the ·$&%$&% forgot to burn it!!!!!! I was so angry!!!!!!! I called to the place and asked them to send them to e-mail  them and the receptionist said she couldn't because the info was "confidential"........ I am the mother of the patient, I just gave you the serial number of the screwed up study and you still won't send it??? So DH had to drive all the way downtown to get it. Of course by then the Dr. would have to see other patients and it woudl be really late. So we have to come back with the pictures another time. In any case the Dr. assured us that he just wants to see them to be 100% that's all.

I saw the pictures and there are lines between the bones and you can see the fontanella... Perhaps they are not as wide apart as other babies' but at least they are not fused!

Thanks all for the support girls!

Katja - I've heard a PP bleed around 6 to 8 weeks is very common, I've never experienced it however. With Teddy AF came back at 4 months (and he was EBF) and has been back, albeit very irregular since then.

Mari - What wonderful news. I would have been so mad over not being able to get everything taken care of right away.

Alyssa - I'm not sure about the tests. I am an expiration date junkie and will not keep anything past date... even soda.

AFM - Some one stole Teddy's stroller yesterday, right out of the driveway. I am so annoyed. Like really, really really annoyed. Who would do such a thing. And the the cop I spoke to actually had the nerve to ask me if I had a "free" sign on it. Really? gggrrrr
