Name/SO's Name: Morgan/AJ

Children's names and ages: Halley-8 Max-14 mo

Any new milestones or fun stories: Halley just started 3rd grade and has her first soccer game tomorrow. Max is still loving books and can repeat a lot of things we say. He also started spinning around last week, which we find hilarious lol.

What are you looking forward to this month: I'm working a lot of overtime this month, so hoping to have a chunk of change to put in savings by the end.

For fun: As summer draws to an end, what was on your "bucket list"? How much of it did you accomplish? Didn't really have one!

Ella - I'm so glad the meeting went well AND you feel so much better afterward. It's hard not to worry about what others think of you, but I think as you distance yourself from that time in your life you'll care less and less. I'm truly happy for you - you just sound so upbeat, happy, and exited about the future in your post. Sounds like this will be a real turning point for you!

Ash - So sorry Ferdinand has his first cold already! I can't even imagine/remember what such a lack of sleep must be like. I hope he recovers quickly and starts to sleep better at night again for you. I can understand your worry about being at home with the boys on your own - I'd feel the same way. It's nice that you seem to have a large support system in place that will help you out.

Ferdinand got his first cold from Teddy 3 days ago (not even 2 weeks old aah) and I SO hope it is over soon. Thankfully he is still sleeping great during the day and nursing like a champ but our nights are terrible. He spends the whole time grunting for air while of course not opening his mouth, I think my longest stretch last night was like 30 minutes. At least I know it is due to him having a cold though! He is still so relaxed that I really feel as though I lucked out!! My midwife assured me that I don't have to keep thinking that colic could strike at any moment as things will probably stay this way...  and I almost believe her :smileyvery-happy:

I've spent the last two weeks at the hospital and here at home and on Monday is when the normal routine with both boys will start for me. I am pretty nervous! I'm also suprised that this time around I didn't feel like leaving the house at all these past weeks. I think last time I tried to do too much too soon and got really overwhelmed and tired. This time I am trying to take it a lot easier and hopefully ease into everything. As I have mentioned before though,I really don't know how you SAHMs handle multiple kids without help/babysitters/etc as I think I would have died these past two weeks if DH hadn't been doing everything with Teddy! And DH could not have handled the past two weeks if Teddy didn't go to daycare for a few hours every day LOL :smileyhappy:

Ella- I'm glad that all went so well! I love the new things you are taking on too.

Thanks for asking Alyssa! It actually went better than I expected. Of course it was really hard, but once I got out what I needed to say and they understood my reasoning behind my decision, they told me that they respected my courage to follow my heart and change course. I think they were likely *thinking* some less positive, more judgmental things that they didn't vocalize, but whatev - the whole point of this is that I'm not supposed to care what they think of me. MAN, that's hard though :/ Anyway, they "congratulated" me and joked that there should be some sort of ceremony for students like me (hahaaaaaa no thanks, lol), and then hugged me. I may have even seen tears in my advisor's eyes... wow, she actually does have a heart :smileywink: (oh just kidding!!!)

When I left campus, I think I felt about a hundred pounds lighter and I have been in the best mood since yesterday. The change was instantaneous in me... that just confirms that this was the right decision. And since yesterday, I've signed up to volunteer for the advisory council of our parent/toddler ECFE program (though our public school system here), and scheduled an audition for a local orchestra for this Saturday (I'm a violinist, and I'll finally have time to play more!). So, needless to say, this has already led to fun new adventures for me :smileyhappy:

Thanks for all your advice, understanding and support Alyssa (and everyone!)!

Name/SO's Name: Erica / Cory

Children's names and ages: Fletcher, 7; Jonah, 4; Charlotte, 1

Any new milestones or fun stories: Charlotte is teething like mad.  She's toddling all over the place and often getting into things that she shouldn't.  Fletcher lost a big front tooth, and he looks so grown up now!  Jonah started pre-K, and he is doing well after week #1.

What are you looking forward to this month: Our homeschool co-op starts on the 4th, and I just always love September!

For fun: As summer draws to an end, what was on your "bucket list"? How much of it did you accomplish? We did a lot of fun things: the zoo, blueberry picking, visiting family and friends, going to Disney World.  But I had lots of other hopes that didn't happen.  I think some of them will become fall "to-dos."

Name/SO's Name: Christine/DH

Children's names and ages: Selin, 2-1/2 yo

Any new milestones or fun stories: Selin has been sleeping in her big girl bed for almost a month now I think. PTing is still going well but we're not quite 100% yet. I feel like I wrote the same things for last month's milestones. LOL

What are you looking forward to this month: A date night/overnight this weekend and hopefully getting a BFP! (last cycle was a bust)

For fun: As summer draws to an end, what was on your "bucket list"? How much of it did you accomplish? Go to the theme park and ride roller coasters one last time before getting PG, clean out all the closets in our house, join Pinterest. I didn't get around to any of those things but I did go kayaking which was not on my bucket list, but awesome nevertheless! And finding a new job was a definite plus as well.

Name/SO's Name:  Ruth & Bijon

Children's names and ages: Anondo ("Anu"), 4 months

Any new milestones or fun stories:  Anu had his 4 month checkup yesterday.  He weighed in at 14 lb 8 oz, and 26.5 in.  So 50th%ile for weight, 80th%ile for height.  And this past month it seems like we got so many milestones all at once.  He started laughing out loud (especially when Baba is around) and now he can roll over both ways.  Can't really think of any big stories but remember how last month I was asking about bathtime? Well, we decided there is no answer, we just have a very squirmy baby!  A couple weeks ago I took him in the swimming pool with me, and then needed to give him a bath.  DH was not around so I used the baby tub, and yes he kept arching his back and stiffening his legs so that he would slide his booty down the tub.  Then he would look at me and start giggling like crazy. It was sooo cute!  Unfortunately, we can't get any of these giggle-fests on film because anytime we get the camera he just stares at it. lol

What are you looking forward to this month:  Hmmm not much really.  It may sound weird but I'm actually kind of excited about him starting daycare.  I went back to work 2 weeks ago and so he's been staying with DH, and they have really been enjoying the time together.  But he also gets sooooo intrigued by other babies and he's had fun everytime we visit the daycare, so I know it will be really good for him.  (And yes, I miss him when I'm gone, but at the same time it did feel kinda nice to go back to work).

For fun: As summer draws to an end, what was on your "bucket list"? How much of it did you accomplish?    I don't think I accomplished much of anything this summer  lol
