Hi Erica!!! Thank you for the comment, this is the kind of thing I mean when I say I have real friends here.!

Next tuesday we have an appointment with a family counselor. We just want to be sure we are handling our little family issues the right way. Fede is really jealous, and trows a lot of tantrums. Sometimes we just don't know how to handle him anymore. I can see that he has a very strong personality and I really want to encourage the positive aspects of it, and avoid letting him become a spoiled kid.

As for Julia, well, the only issue so far is that about wanting to be with me all the time. To be honest, I love that she wants me so much, but several people are pointing out that she is too dependent on me (in an unhealthy kind of way), so I might bring that up too.

Christine, we won't be home again until late May. It's killing me because my Grandma is not doing well at all. I wish I could be there to visit with her and to help my parents care for her. It has been very, very difficult for my mom and dad because Grandma is suffering from severe dementia. It's really sad.

Mari!!! It's so good to hear from you. I think about you a lot. I can't believe Julia is 10 months old. Wow! She sounds very busy. Charlotte is 19 months, and she still isn't fond of being with anyone but Mama. Over Christmas she stayed with our parents (both sets) for a few hours on two occasions so that we could have dates. She did great, but I tried to take her to the church nursery and she wasn't having that at all!!!! Best wishes as you build your home. So exciting!

Name/SO's Name: Mari/Mati

Children's names and ages: Fede 3 yo. and Julia 10 months

Any new milestones or fun stories:   Fede is talking so much!!! Sometimes it's like he has so much on his brain that he stutters until he can let it all out. We are laughing all day long listening at the funny way he says things. He's also started to sing, wich believe it or not he didn't before. I've come to understand that this is his way with everything... he won't do somehting until he is reasonably sure he can do it right. So he walked late, talked lete, potty trained late and now the singing.... On the bad side of things he is really starting to test boundaries... He defies my authority a hundred times a day, and sometimes it is so hard!! it's like a permanent battle of wills!!

Julia is cruising hanging on the furniture and crawling at lightspeed!!! her motor skills are amazing!! She is also full of smiles and I'm ecstatic because her hair is finally long enough to do something with it (she has so much hair!! and up till now it was only a wavy mess!) So now my favorite thing to do is something resembling "Boo" from Monster's inc. Incredibly cute!! She is also having a MAJOR case of separation anxitey. The other night my parents offered to baby sit so we could have a date night. Right in the middle of it I called  to check on things and I could hear her wailing from the other side of the phone.... Way to spoil the mood!

What are you looking forward to this year: Building our house!!!

Sandy - Your ticker has been updated. Sorry it took so long, I missed your request.

Liz - So sorry to hear you're all sick! Thank goodness Peter's accident wasn't anything serious. Are he and Addie at the same daycare?

Erica - Too funny about "Jack Sparrow"! When will you guys be going home again?

Does anyone know, for all the people that stopped posting here, are they now posting on the FB group? Just wondering if they're still having access issues?

Woohoo! We've passed our number of posts from December (10)! LOL

AFM - Not much is new with us. Still looking at preschools for Selin. Another parish near our house just announced they'll be having an all day program for 4 year olds so now we have to decide if we're going to send her in the fall to the first school we toured (which has an all day 3 year old program) or keep sending her to the sitter until next year and then enroll her in the 4 year old program.

Oh and she now has an imaginary friend named "Sassy". :-P

Oh, Liz.  Sorry to hear that the germies have hit you hard this month.  Hang in there!

I hope Peter's fever breaks and stays away.  Fevers really scare me!

Hi all! I'm getting back into the swing of things after we've been hit with sickness. Last Saturday, Peter hit his head, and then started throwing up (8x in 3 hours!). After a CT scan, we determined it was a bug. I got it Monday morning, then Sean got it Monday night. I finally went back to work on Wednesday, only to be called to come get Addie. She had RSV and a double ear infection. Peter now has the RSV and is on day 3 of a high fever with it. We're most likely going back to the doctor tomorrow with him. So...things are crazy. I've never been so glad to be breastfeeding. Addie just had a cough and wheezing, but no fever. I would have panicked if she was as bad off as Peter. It's terrifying!

Name/SO's Name: Erica & Cory Children's names and ages: Fletcher (7), Jonah (4), and Charlotte (18mths) Any new milestones or fun stories: This evening Jonah was talking to my parents on the phone about the NFL playoff game. He told them that "Jack Sparrow" won, but he meant the Falcons. Cory and I cracked up! I guess when you are four and totally in love with pirates, sparrows and falcons can easily get mixed up! What are you looking forward to this year: Finally finishing our study, bedroom, and library. Maybe expanding our family either through another pregnancy or by starting the adoption process. Continuing to settle into our lives as a homeschooling family. I'm especially excited to bring Jonah home for kindergarten in the fall. ________ We had a wonderful visit with our families in PA over the holidays. We had lots of great snow. Perfect for snowmen and sledding. The kids were in heaven. Of course, we got way too many gifts, but we managed to get them all back to Florida. We started back to school last week, but we didn't really find our groove. I'm considering tomorrow (Mon.) to be our first "official" day back. We celebrate Cory's 35th birthday last week with a cake and dinner out. Low key but fun!

Name/SO's Name: Sandy/Jason

Children's names and ages:David Nicholas, 3 years

Any new milestones or fun stories:David is like a typical 3 year old. I just wish I could get him to listen more often. But he eventually does, I think just trying to test his boundaries. His vocabulary is great and he is now playing soccer for the winter. Grandpa got it as a birthday gift.

Also can you change my ticker I am way behind.
