Since we had less than 10 replies in the Dec. chat, I decided to create a general winter chat for January and beyond.

Please check in and let us know how you and your LO(s) are doing!!

Name/SO's Name: Christine/DH

Children's names and ages: Selin, turning 3 next month!

Any new milestones or fun stories: Selin continues to crack us up daily. The other day she was pooping on the potty and my DH was in the bathroom with her and she asked him, "Do YOU have to go poop Baba?" We both bust out laughing.

What are you looking forward to this year: DH and I finally going on a mini vacay by ourselves in the next few months, Selin starting preschool in the fall, meeting our new baby, DH finding a new job and hopefully moving to a bigger house!

Name/SO's Name: Jessica/Mike Children's names and ages: Gabby 2 1/2 and Olivia almost 2 months Any new milestones or fun stories: Gabby is Potty training! and doing so well. Last night we had a 15 minute conversation about how boy's have Penis' and girls have Vaginas. I can't believe how big my girl is getting. Olivia is starting to socially smile at us when we smile and sing to her, it's awesome! What are you looking forward to this year: Seeing Olivia grow up and get more of a personality. FInish our house - get a judgement againsts the idiots that screwed us over (see below) A further update. I am back at work - part time for a few weeks and full time on January 23rd. so I will be on here more often. I hate that this board has died so much since the changes!! Like I said above we are doing well. Gabby is growing up so fast and learning so much at her school. They are talking preschool in the fall so I don't think we are going to hold her back a year since she is an August baby. I think she will get way way too board. Olivia is doing well also. She is sleeping about 5 to 6 hours at a stretch at night, so I get sleep from about 10:00 or so until 3:30 or 4 most nights and then until 6 or 6:30 when I need to get up for the day. Our house isn't finished. I can't remember where I last updated. but before I had Liv we were meeting with the owner to try to resolve things with him and without bringing in the court system. But that didn't work. There is a criminal investigation going on for him and his partner. they both filed for bankruptcy but it sounds like those will get thrown out and they will have to pay people back. the owner has about 4.8 million dollars in dept - between loans, sub-contractors and home owners that he owes. it's crazy. the man is an idiot and even admitted in open court that he moved funds to his wifes account so it wouldn't be seized by the court. REALLY?? we have paid off most of our liens and gotten good deals on them so the amount that we have to double pay people will be less which is great. we FINALLY got our front door on site and my uncle will be painting it soon! and then the job site guy that has been great for us is going to install it, do the drywall and the siding outside so we can finish that off and have a complete house again. If we get any money back from the state it won't be until next december but at least it will be something!

Name/SO's name: Liz and Sean

Children's names and ages: Peter, 28 months. Addie, 3 months

Any new milestones or fun stories: Peter is too smart for his own good. He's already figured out how to ask me for something, and if I say no, he goes and asks DH. The assistant director at daycare told me that he's already getting bored in the 2 y/o room. I'm at a loss. As for Addie, just eating and sleeping. She's trying her hardest to roll back to belly. She's been going belly to back since 6 weeks. And last week, I had to go get her at daycare because she threw such a fit her temp shot to 100.5*. I walked in the door, and she giggled. Girl has a serious attitude when she gets mad.

What are you looking forward to this year: There's nothing in particular, just watching the kids grow. :)

Sorry I haven't been around, ladies! Today is the first time I've been able to log in.

Name/SO's Name: Alyssa/Kyle

Children's names and ages: Evan, 2 years 3 months

Any new milestones or fun stories: Evan is talking up a storm and is talking in full sentences now. Sometimes he gets so excited when he wants to say something that he stutters through it a couple times, but when he finally gets all the words together he practically YELLS the last word :) My favorite sentence of his lately is "Big dinos died in apocolypse!!" - he cracks me up with his huge words he uses. He also says "I'm funny" when he makes us laugh :) Too cute.

What are you looking forward to this year: Hopefully getting pregnant again and it sticking. We're going to visit my parents down in Arizona in the spring, and we might do a trip with Kyle's parents in the summer.

"I'm funny" - I love it! And I'm impressed that Evan knows what an apocolypse is!

Arizona sounds heavenly. I used to go to Scottsdale once or twice/year when I was a consultant and always thoroughly enjoyed it. DH and I are hoping to go to Vegas in the next month or so. Lately, every time I see a plane in the sky I dream of being on it heading to a nice relaxing destination!

Sending lots of baby dust your way!!

Name/SO's Name: Sandy/Jason

Children's names and ages:David Nicholas, 3 years

Any new milestones or fun stories:David is like a typical 3 year old. I just wish I could get him to listen more often. But he eventually does, I think just trying to test his boundaries. His vocabulary is great and he is now playing soccer for the winter. Grandpa got it as a birthday gift.

Also can you change my ticker I am way behind.

Name/SO's Name: Erica & Cory Children's names and ages: Fletcher (7), Jonah (4), and Charlotte (18mths) Any new milestones or fun stories: This evening Jonah was talking to my parents on the phone about the NFL playoff game. He told them that "Jack Sparrow" won, but he meant the Falcons. Cory and I cracked up! I guess when you are four and totally in love with pirates, sparrows and falcons can easily get mixed up! What are you looking forward to this year: Finally finishing our study, bedroom, and library. Maybe expanding our family either through another pregnancy or by starting the adoption process. Continuing to settle into our lives as a homeschooling family. I'm especially excited to bring Jonah home for kindergarten in the fall. ________ We had a wonderful visit with our families in PA over the holidays. We had lots of great snow. Perfect for snowmen and sledding. The kids were in heaven. Of course, we got way too many gifts, but we managed to get them all back to Florida. We started back to school last week, but we didn't really find our groove. I'm considering tomorrow (Mon.) to be our first "official" day back. We celebrate Cory's 35th birthday last week with a cake and dinner out. Low key but fun!

Hi all! I'm getting back into the swing of things after we've been hit with sickness. Last Saturday, Peter hit his head, and then started throwing up (8x in 3 hours!). After a CT scan, we determined it was a bug. I got it Monday morning, then Sean got it Monday night. I finally went back to work on Wednesday, only to be called to come get Addie. She had RSV and a double ear infection. Peter now has the RSV and is on day 3 of a high fever with it. We're most likely going back to the doctor tomorrow with him. So...things are crazy. I've never been so glad to be breastfeeding. Addie just had a cough and wheezing, but no fever. I would have panicked if she was as bad off as Peter. It's terrifying!
